"Ashbusters was perfect for us.  We have young children and didn't plan to use our fireplace at the new home we purchased.  We were also smelling gas coming from it.  Ashbusters was professional, courteous, and above all explained everything they were doing.  They gave us a beautiful, clean fireplace, and they shut off the valve that was causing the gas problem.  They were everything we were looking for with the coupon we got."

"Have been a customer for 4 years, have gotten great service from professional and personable staff.  Anthony today was just like their other staff.   Appreciate that the office called me to tell he was at my door as my doorbell was not working properly.
Like all folks that I've dealt with and very appreciative of Tony Burke, their gas expert.  Tony has provided excellent service and education about using gas appliances/logs etc.

"Joe was very responsive to my inquiries and was very accommodating in scheduling an appointment at a time that fit my insane schedule. He arrived on time and spent a fair amount of time on the project, thoroughly cleaning and tuning up my gas logs. I noted that they had been giving me some trouble in that they would shut off after 5-10 minutes of use, and he investigated and determined that I needed a new thermocoupler. He charged a fair price to replace the part, and the logs have been working like a charm ever since his visit. I am very pleased with his work.

"They did a great job. They solved all the problems I had with the chimney and it’s been working perfectly ever since. They also fixed a problem on the roof around the chimney; they replaced the wood around the chimney with a material that would never rot, so they fixed it even better than it was before. It took them a couple of days to do the work. They took care of all the cleanup as well. We've been real happy with them."

"My roof had a big leak, all the way  through the bedroom wall, during  the heavy rains the weekend before. I called a few other companies, but Jerry Anderson came the same day,  Monday, explained to  me what the problems were (the main culprit was the flashing on the chimney, and the roof around it, but there were other roof problems as well)  and  gave me an estimate.  He was very detailed and his explanations were very friendly. He came punctually as agreed   with a specialist, James,  on Tuesday, who worked on  all problems,  made sure to check that everything is fixed (even climbed from the inside of the attic with me in order to understand better what I was describing).  He completed the job very timely. We did have  rain since then (which is why I wanted everything fixed quickly), and there are no leaks, I did check by climbing inside  the attic.
Jerry is very friendly, professional, would explain everything so that I understood,  and he appears to know his job very well, as does  his specialist James.  I really appreciated their friendliness and good work. I am looking forward to no leaks in my roof for  5 years!"

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

Propane sales companies typically offer propane delivery, tank installation and maintenance, grilling refills, and emergency support for supply interruptions.

Yes, you can lay a gas grill flat during transportation. Laying it flat can help prevent it from moving around the truck during the journey. It’s still advisable to secure the grill with bungee cords, just in case.

The difference between a built-in and regular grill is installation and design. A built-in grill is integrated into an outdoor kitchen or structure, often within a countertop or island. It is a permanent fixture. A regular grill is standalone, portable, or cart-mounted, allowing mobility and versatility in placement. Built-in grills are typically larger with more cooking space, while regular grills come in various sizes. Built-in grills are favored for creating a custom outdoor cooking area, while regular grills provide convenience and flexibility.

Yes, most states require a plumber to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed plumber could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations. Check our state licensing tool to review the local plumber guidelines.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification, which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

While it’s possible to repair minor grill issues like replacing a burner, more serious issues are clear indicators that you need to replace the entire unit. A few signs that your gas grill may be at the end of its life span and it’s time to consider replacing it include:

  • Rusty or cracked firebox

  • Weak, yellow, or uneven flames

  • Flaking, cracking grates

  • Leaking or cracked propane hoses

  • Failing igniter

  • Heavy buildup of grease
