After contacting a few local companies, and searching on Angie's List, I decided to L&R a try since they provided good quality cameras at a reasonable price. It took two visits since one of the units they ordered didn't arrive as expected. Ray and his sons came out to get everything installed and programmed, and gave a quick tutorial on using the phone app to monitor the system. Although we found one camera that stopped working, they quickly responded with a replacement unit to resolve the problem."

"Excellent work, fixed the door issue"

"I was very happy with the work done by Richard. He was prompt in getting back to me and coming out for an estimate. More importantly, he did the job the right way. Repairing the window leak required some outside caulking that I had missed when I performed the job myself. He then repaired the header, drywall and plaster. The sliding glass door leak actually turned out to be the bigger issue. He discovered where the leak was coming from and identified a section of the wood framing that was rotting out from water damage. He cut out and replaced that section and sealed it. His idea of doing things right was comparable to mine and I was very happy with the work performed."

"Friendly prompt response by phone on initial contact. I faxed a detailed list of tasks to facilitate assigning the work. Scheduling the work was somewhat of a challenge due to their constraints and my schedule. I had three visits from two different techs. The first tech was highly skilled and professional. He came twice. However, it appeared as if the less challenging tasks were cherry-picked leaving more challenging jobs undone. For example, why not complete all the painting jobs? Two garage steps were never painted. The tasks that second tech attempted all had to be redone. Sloppy paint touch-up in one bathroom. They did not use tape or remove fixture covers for red & orange paint. He forgot to paint the wall behind the door, the nail pops were fixed but not painted and they popped again before they could be painted. He repositioned the ironing board holder that he had installed too low but, left the first holes in the wall without repairing them. Did not caulk all areas. When I contacted the company with my concerns they said that they needed to send the initial tech out to fix things that were not satisfactory and finish the job since he was their best guy but, he was booked up for a few weeks. After a few attempts to reschedule I did not call back. My work travel schedule was prohibitive in the fall, which is why I tried completing the work during the summer. I eventually hired other companies to complete the work since I believe that they did not have the skills or will to handle all of the tasks. Hired a plumber for the sink, plaster for the nail pops, electrician for light switches. I fixed the paint & caulk myself and still need somebody to stretch the carpet. In hindsight, I believe this company is better suited for a shorter list or single task project. I really wanted a handyman to take ownership and go through the house and take care of all of the outstanding little fixes. They just wanted to get paid and close the job."

"Delivery was delayed due to credit inquiry. After the concern was raised, shipment was rushed to us. Self installation didn't go as easy. Issue was resolved over the phone. The glass break sensor was a bit sensitive to loud noise such as cabinet door closing and door sensor repeatedly falls off and had to be reattached. Notification of alarm activation was fast and made to the right contact numbers. This prevented false alarm calls to the police."
