McCausland Lock Service, Inc. is the largest locksmith company serving the Delaware Valley area. The McCausland Family has been in the Locksmithing business for over 100 years. Chuck & Tom McCausland are the fourth generation,( with the fifth generation-Chrissy Levesque- now working for us). They followed in their dad's footsteps (Walt McCausland) , as experts in the security field.

Locksmith, John, left keys on dash after recoding ignition and allowed car to lock…. Insisted that we (body shop) locked our own keys in the car and refused to apologize or own up to the mistake… Very poor customer service. Told us to get our own lock out kit to get the keys out… Recoded another vehicle for us…. Also left keys on dashboard and didn’t say anything, keys were left overnight in the car unlocked in a non-gated car lot …. Luckily not stolen!!! Never knew a locksmith who would leave keys in an unoccupied car….

Needed a replacement ignition key and remote transmitter fob for my Acura SUV, since my better half had lost her set. Visited McCausland based on friends' very positive recommendations, and I had the pleasure of working with Charlotte and Denise. While I had already purchased a replacement key and fob, Charlotte politely informed me that she had two sets of my key and fob in stock in their shop. This was impressive, as three Acura dealerships could not secure one until next month. Charlotte then proceeded to begin cutting the key blank based on my personal working key, and subsequently, went out to my SUV to program 1) the key to the immobilizer unit, and 2) the remote transmitter fob to the vehicle for door lock and tailgate operation. She moved through the steps as if she has performed these tasks many hundreds of times. Upon checking out, the charge for her services was extremely competitive, and massively lower than what the dealerships charge. As I fully expected, the newly-cut key turned easily in the ignition switch and the fob operated perfectly. I am certain their high quality extends to all of their provided services, and consequently, if anyone is in need of competent and reasonably-priced auto/residential/commercial locksmith service, you will be glad you contacted McCausland.

The deadbolt lock on my front door broke and I wasn't able to lock the door. I called Mccausland around 10:30AM and even though they said they were swamped, they said they would fit me in as it was an emergency. About an hour later they called and said they were on their way. CK removed the old lock, replaced it and made extra keys for me. Both CK and the person on the phone were extremely nice, polite and professional--not to mention prompt!

We called this locksmith on a Monday morning at 9:00 and the technician showed up within the same hour. (I wish all service providers could be as responsive). The price was very fair for several hours of work which was completed in the service truck.

Joe, my installer was upfront right away with the cost and options of what finishishes were available on the locks that I wanted,(chrome, brass, antique brass, etc.) Friendly and courteous the entire job. I have dealt with McCauslands Lock Service before and they are definately my and quot;go toand quot; people for any type lock needs, both in store or service at home.

Service was good. Price was a shock. The cylinder itself was $29.99. The service call to come to the house and perform the work (under 15 minutes) was $80.00.

"Some people are shocked at a service call, however when running a professional business, there are many cost to putting a truck and mechanic on the road ( salary, gas, vehicle cost, insurance, etc.). A service call ( also called a trip charge) is the cost to send an employee and truck to a given location. We normally do not charge labor on residential jobs. So the price is a set price, not an hourly rate. This service call is common to most service industry businesses, By the way, that service call in todays economy has increased to $95.00"
