"A Cut Above many other Contractors! We had needed brick pointing done on our home for a few years. We are also in the middle of a renovation project for our game room and that included the installation of a sliding glass door where a window was. The door install required that a steel lintel be moved up to accommodate the height of the new door. We were very fortunate that we called Michener Chimney and Masonry to come and have a look. They came out in a timely fashion and gave their estimate to us in just a few days. Once we agreed to get the work done, Jim and his team from Michener began the work quickly. They were professional and friendly and did a wonderful job on all of the aspects of the project. Communication with them was easy, clear and accurate. We would highly recommend anyone needing brick or masonry work to use Michener Chimney and Masonry. "Zach mis measured a foundation on step #1, made the wood structure fit in the cheapest and laziest way. Concrete pillars were supposed to be hidden under the shed (I also supplied a drawing from another contractor to go by) and they now extend past so I am not able to just easily landscape around them as well as some of the brackets literally hanging off of the pillars. A couple of the concrete screws did not draw down all the way, a normal person would find out why and fix but nope they left it this way, pictures in the link!! The foundation was not square and it is to wide as well due to this mistake. I also had to shim multiple areas due to the foundation not being level. He promised to come back and help with some landscaping and some sort of flashing on the back to help hide the mistakes and most importantly keep water off the wood, I even had him give me a paid receipt saying he will return to help and then disappeared. I have linked pictures and a video of the terrible workmanship. Would not recommend. A follow up and help with some of the landscaping would have been very appreciated. { Removed google link}"

He was very personable and shared options for us to achieve a dry basement. Arks contract was very straight forward and easy to understand. Justin and his crew was very precise. Solid masonry is a wall or other brick or stone structure built on a concrete footing, and the masonry supports itself.
