"We were exploring all the options with different providers. Ed from ECC came and talked about doing ducted mini-splits, since there was room in an attic space and room in a cellar. Usually people want you to do ductless mini-splits which are the ones that hang on the walls. I liked Ed's ideas and plus he didn't lally-gag around and try to schmooze like some other sales people. The actual work took place in the timeframe given and at the price estimated. I'm very happy with the result, and Tony did a great job. The top floor and bottom floor have air, no remotes, but thermostats on each floor. The air comes through registers rather than a wall hung unit. So we even have it in the small bathroom. The two zones allow you to just cool the area you're using, and since I'm the one living there alone, that's good. I recommend this company. The approximate price was over $12,000 with Angie's discount. Comparable to other quotes."

"These guys are amazing!!!! I hired Old Skool HVAC to come look at my AC system that had failed a few days prior and was not generating any cold air. This is a second home and I was more than 1200 miles away so the visit and inspection had to be done "virtually". Frank came as indicated, after he completed a job in DE later than expected, and YET he still drove to my home late in the afternoon to honor his commitment. I had someone from another company (one that advertises a lot and is a huge company in the Delaware Valley) come out a few days earlier who told me my compressor was shot and would need a $4000 repair, if they could even find the part because the system was old. They also told me that replacing the whole system for $10K+ was the best way to go. That didn't fly with me so I called Old Skool for a second opinion. The price and warranty were competitive with high end brands. The crew was courteous and professional during the two day install. They were the only company that included replacement of the coolant lines, rather than just flushing the old ones.
