"This is the type of company you dream about. They are quick efficient with a fair price, but that's not even the best part. Matt works with you every step of the way to ensure project is done right and to your liking. There are no surprises. The crews are friendly and hard working. I will be using them again in the future Chris"

"I really appreciated how quickly they responded to my request for an estimate. Once I approved the estimate they were able to schedule the job the very next week. Communication was very good and the crew assigned to the job worked quickly and professionally. They consulted me while they were trimming to make sure I was satisfied with how much they were taking off the trees. I would definitely call them again for future tree work and recommend to others."

"I’m happy with the end project. The reason it’s 4 stars and not 5, is due to some service delays and unexpected installation errors (which were addressed quickly and fairly). The overall quality of the work completed is quite good, and I’m happy to be able to actually use my backyard now. They were able to regrade my backyard and install artificial turf within a fair price and warranty."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Generally, avoid trimming trees in the summer (with the exception of pruning fruit trees as needed). Trees use a lot of energy in the summer, most of which is relegated to new growth. If you chop it too early, you could stunt the next season's growth. Again, when in doubt, do some research based on the specific tree type.

Trees are beneficial to the environment and wildlife. If you have an old tree, but it’s healthy, it may be best to avoid cutting it down. However, if it’s showing signs of bug infestation, disease, or is potentially hazardous, then you should contact a tree removal company to cut it down.

If you are unsure whether you should have it removed or not, then speak with an arborist to determine what is best.

Make sure the tree roots soak around a day before you dig the tree up for the transplant. Keep the roots wet while the tree is above ground. After the transplant is finished, provide consistent water every day for the first month or so. You don’t want to overwater the tree, but you do want to keep the roots wet so they can thrive in their new environment.

Yes, you can prune a palm tree with a chainsaw, but a chainsaw is overkill for a job like this. You risk damaging the tree if you make a bad cut. More commonly, you’ll need pruning shears or a serrated knife to trim a palm tree, or you can use a specialized pruning saw instead of a chainsaw.

As a general rule, the protected area should be about 1½ times as wide as the canopy of the tree’s leaves. This digging measurement can vary by tree species and the age of the tree. Of course, that can be a lot of fencing for larger trees, which is why our first step is about making difficult decisions on which trees to save.
