"I had been searching for weeks for granite countertops and went to several locations, but am glad I went with Quality Granite for several reasons. First, there is no pressure from them to buy. They take the time to answer your questions and don't hover. Their price is way less than most competitors. When I went to their supplier to pick out a slab, I was told they no longer carry it. Missy and Hong then immediately offered other solutions and sent me to their distributor in Shaler. BINGO! Found a beautiful slab (great customer service there too, btw) that was in my budget. I can't tell you how many places were several hundreds of dollars out of budget or would take weeks to get it installed.  Instead, I was able to get my granite counter tops, edging upgrade, sink and faucet cut-outs on budget AND have it done, delivered and installed in ONE WEEK.  From Missy and Hong at the front office, to the young man who measured the counterops, to the two gentleman who took less than 2 1/2 hours to install the countertops, I could not have been happier with the entire process.

"Our neighbor recommended AY Granite to us. They used AY for kitchen countertops and felt the work was good and the price reasonable. Our experience with AY was similarly excellent. The managers there were very patient with us as we tried to match our cabinets, tile floor and paint colors to a suitable slab of granite. We had a large expanse to cover. Well, we found the *perfect* match and the management there  ordered fast, did their work on the granite and delivered it to us right on time. I have a lot of confidence in this company. I think their manager and workers are quite intelligent and committed to moving projects along. Technically, they are also perfect. This was quite a relief----can't imagine what we'd have done if the cutting or other prep work. had been off.
Granite is *heavy*! On the way up our twisty stairs they did put a slight dent in the wall. They brought this to my attention and apologized profusely. We didn't care since we were having the walls painted anyway and could easily fill in the tiny dent. We appreciated that they were forthright about the dent.
In sum, AY is an honorable company, by all accounts reliable and for our family and the family next door, they did excellent work right on time. When we asked how fast they could move on our order they got things moving immediately. Some companies take offense is you ask them to move along. AY, in contrast, tries to accommodate customer needs.
Oh, I may not have mentioned: we LOVE our granite and our Master Bath/Bedroom Suite turned out beautifully. The secret for us was to keep looking until we found the most beautiful blends of colors and textures; also, we went with the right companies, partially thanks to recommendations from Angie's List.

"We had a fantastic experience with BKG Design (North Hills Location). Our kitchen designer, Noelle, came up with a great design given the small size of our kitchen that was right in line with our expectations. Throughout the entire process she was there to give design tips and help us create the modern look we were envisioning. Given the age of our previous kitchen we needed a fair amount of work done including demo, electrical, plumbing, and some floor work on top of the new cabinets and countertops. What I loved about Noelle and BKG was there was never any pressure or upselling along the way. All of our options were laid out to us from least expensive to most expensive and any part of the project that we wanted to do ourselves or hire an outside contractor for they were happy to accomodate. We ended up choosing BKG for the entire remodel and I am so happy that we did. Noelle did a fantastic job of project management as the entire remodel fell exactly to plan from both a time and cost perspective. Noelle would check in frequently to make sure we were aware of what was next to come, any upcoming decisions we had to make, and clarify items if there was any potential for confusion. In addition to project management, the install itself went very smoothly and that was thanks to the wonderful installers, Bill and Chris. Given that I work from home I was able to witness their work each day and I have nothing but praise for everything that they did. They showed up on time every single day and did not skip a beat from the moment they walked through the door. They were always quick to answer any questions I had and even go so far as to explain how things are done or provide advice as I like to learn a bit myself. Their knowledge of what they were doing was very apparent and impressive and it shows in the final product. If you want a kitchen remodel that is managed properly, stays true to cost estimates, and has a finished product that aligns with your expectations, look no further. "I researched various types of kitchen countertops for a while, and chose quartz instead of granite because the prices were comparable, the color pattern was more consistent with quartz (without picking out a particular slab of granite), and I did not have to consider future resealing as a possibility. I also considered several different vendors and received estimates. Then I entered my request online with Origins Granite, which was recommended by others on Angie's List, and immediately received a call from them. They sent a representative to my home that brought various samples. I decided to use them because the price they quoted me was all-inclusive and better than previous estimates, including all the plumbing work, new sink and edge cuts that cost extra with other vendors. The only thing that I had to purchase separately was the faucet; they used the model number to fabricate the holes needed in the countertop. About one week after signing the contract, they called to say my color choice had become unavailable. They presented three other choices but recommended one of the three as the closest to my original choice. I agreed and immediately realized from my previous research that it was from a more expensive manufacturer. They assured me that my original price quote would not change. They took care of everything: measurements were taken and installation was completed on the date I originally requested. I am very happy with the outcome; it is a great match for my kitchen. All of the people I dealt with at the office and in my home were very accommodating, courteous and professional. I would highly recommend this company to others.
