"Perfect! From the huge selection of granite, marble and soapstone. To the time that was taken by Mike and his staff to ensure we picked the right stone for us. To the attention to detail by Scott with measurements and installation by Artie and his crew, everything was perfect. We were blown away by the level of professionalism from the beginning to the end of the project. I can't recommend Premier Granite and Stone enough."

"It started very well, we worked with Tara, she was very receptive to the changes that we made and was very accessible and flexible. We wanted initially to hire for full remodel, but their quote was too high ,so we decided to limit only to cabinets and install. We hired other companies and it was a smart decision . Then the installation came and unfortunately it was poor planning and what was very disappointing poor execution leaving us with significant gaps between the back of the cabinets toe kick and the cabinets.. nails trough the cabinets and misaligned doors When we alerted about it..we were told to hire someone else to fix that ..I must admit that the quartz company that did do very good job. But in regards with the cabinets installation no supervision and very poor craftsmanship. So we ended up with having to repair what should have been planned and executed well initially."

"It went great. These guys are extremely hard working and actually did some small repairs that they discovered that I was not aware of. I would highly recommend them for any project you might have and would definitely hire them again. Their prices were VERY reasonable. Considering the amount of work I had done, they cleaned up the property when they were finished and it looks as if no one had been here. I’m considering another large project and will be contacting William, Henry and Alejandro when I’m ready to start that work. I cannot give these guys enough accolades and really thank them for doing a great job."

"

Galen and his crew arrived on time.  One worked on replacing dry wall and plastered the wall while the others cut out the tree branches and patched the roof.  They also replaced a cracked drain pipe and repaired the back porch roof.  They were all very courteous and professional. I was very pleased with their  excellent work and the cost of the work.

"We Interviewed several companies and felt Commomwealth was the best fit for our needs. We met with co. manager Les who has over 50+ years experience and knew what we needed besides the obvious. He took his time in assessing the bathroom, took measurements and sat down with us to make up a building plan. It was also comforting that he has experience with older houses with finicky outdated plumbing and odd architecture. Because our bathroom was worse then an outhouse and over run with mold, Les said he could get started immediately and finish up in about 7 days barring no complications. The initial estimate was one of the more reasonable ones we received and the time frame was reasonable.
The crew showed up the following Tuesday at about 9 am. Al and John were very nice and professional. They introduced themselves before spreading plastic down on the rug and apologized for the mess they were about to make, which for tearing down a room wasn't so bad. They were also pet tolerant which was good because of the two small house dogs that never stopped barking until it was time for them to leave. Les came everyday to see how things were progressing, answer questions, and let us know how things were going. Al and John would consult with Les about any problems they encountered and would ask us if before they did anything that was different from the work plan. On the 2nd day Les said the crew found extensive water damage and rot on the anterior (back) wall. There were also problems with the roof, venting and shingles also the wiring and plumbing. We expected problems to arise and had already braced ourselves for the worse. Les asked if he could bring a roofer out to look over the problems and fix what needed fixed. The extra work added 2 days to the job which was fine with us. We told Les we wanted a good job and weren't in a hurry.
The guys showed up around 8:30 and finished around 4:30 which was good timing with kids and school. I shopped and bought all the fixtures including the shower door. The only thing Les picked out was the tub and surround. He wanted to be sure we got a sturdy surround & tub that would last and wouldn't leak. Everyday after they were done Al and John would thoroughly clean up any dust and run the shop vac. They even asked to take any pics or clocks off the walls so that they wouldn't fall when the heavy banging started. They wouldn't leave until everything was done correctly. John even came back on Sat the day after they finished to fix something minor with the plumbing. Only one day was missed due to the weather.  On the last day all the debris and garbage was hauled away, the sidewalk swept.
We were dreading the whole experience of remodeling because our bathroom was so bad but Les and his guys made things bearable from start to finish even with the incessant barking of our little but very loud dogs. When Les gave me the final bill, he told me it was no more then 15,000. Before I fell over I peeked @ the bill and to my immense relief it was only 200 more then the original estimate. That included all the extra work on the roof, back wall, wiring, and plumbing. Les told me any problems with the work and they would come back and fix it. I will definitely use Commonwealth again because of the work they did and because they've earned my trust that I won't be cheated. I would also recommend them to anyone that needs work on their homes.
Commomwealth has a steady customer."

Marble Restoration questions, answered by experts

There are a few ways to remove calcium buildup in your pipes, but the most natural option involves vinegar, baking soda, and boiling water. To use this method, pour 1/2 cup of vinegar down the drain you're trying to clear, then follow it up with 1/2 cup of baking soda. Place a rag over the drain to create a light seal and leave it for 30 minutes. Remove the rag, then pour a pot of boiling water into the drain. After the water drains, wipe everything down with a sponge.

No, you cannot use vinegar to polish marble. It is too acidic for cleaning or polishing and can etch the surface. Instead, opt for non-acidic cleaners made specifically for marble. Follow the manufacturer’s directions to ensure proper application and to protect the marble. However, a damp mop can be an effective marble cleaner when used appropriately and as long as moisture is immediately soaked up.

Quartzite countertops are porous, meaning that liquids can seep into the stone and stain them. You’ll need to seal them before installing and resealing annually, depending on use and stone material. Sealing will help prevent stains and etching. On the other hand, you don’t need to seal quartz and other engineered stone countertops since they aren’t porous.

No, soapstone does not crack easily. The softness of the material protects it from cracking but makes it prone to other types of damage such as scratches. Scratches may need to be buffed out occasionally using fine-grit sandpaper. You can also conceal minor scratches in your soapstone countertops by rubbing the surface with mineral oil.

In most cases, chipped or cracked granite can be salvaged, but it depends on the size and scope of the damage. For example, a pro can smooth out small chips on the edge with polish pads or an angle grinder, but a crack that runs through the stone's surface has little-to-no chance of being fixed easily.
