Paul Steimer Roofing is a locally owned and operated business since 1975. Proudly honoring the title of Pittsburgh’s most respected roofing company, Paul Steimer Roofing uses only the highest quality materials available, installed to manufacturer's specifications. We use ice and water shield on every roof we install. We use nails—not cheaper staples. We make sure that your new roof is vented. We clean up and haul off all debris and dispose of it properly. Our goal is to leave your property cleaner than we found it. All craftsman are certified to ensure quality work and installation—we don’t outsource or use subcontractors. As a certified roofing contractor, we offer Owens Corning Manufacturer's Warranty on all roofs, and as an Angie’s List member, we offer a free upgrade to the Owen’s Corning Preferred Protection Warranty. We are fully insured for your peace of mind. Often when replacing a roof the customer will also exchange the siding and soffits on their property. We will help you select siding materials that compliment your architecture, roof, and landscaping. We can also help you compare brands of soffits so you can make a smart decision based on what matters most to you: durability, appearance, warranty, price, maintenance, and environmental impact. Fantastic! Had a complete new roof within a day and a half which I was not expecting at all! Business owner was super easy to work with and was able to work around my busy schedule, while all other employees were very kind during the process! Clean up process was immaculate as well! This is the second roof project that Paul has helped us with. The first was in 2016 and most recently in 2022. All of the work went very well. In 2022, Paul was very helpful in suggesting one method to repair the flat metal roof portion of the house with adhered 2- ply membrane and a second method to re-coat the sloping metal roof on the barn. The work was done in a neat and timely manner. The gutters and downspouts on the barn were also replaced. The gutters were 122 feet long and installed without any joints. In 2016, Paul replaced the shingle roof portion of the house roof as well as the soffit, fascia, gutters, and downspouts. The work was done in a timely and neat manner. We have several buildings on our property with different roof types requiring maintenance, repair, or replacement. Paul helped us complete cost-effective roof replacement and repairs.

Great company to work with. they came in and got our roof done in the designated amount of days they said, even with the rain delays. we expected with the weather issues that it would take a few more day which wasnt a problem for us but to our surprise and astonishment they got it done in three days. Exceptionally well! Paul got back to me quickly, yet was patient to answer all of my questions. With the recent winds portions of shingle around my chimney blew off. I explained my roof already has 2 layers & if it needed replaced we would have to go with a new roof. He asked if my roof was leaking & what color were my shingles. I responded with a no to a leaking roof. He told me as soon as he had a chance someone would be out to give me an estimate. The next day 2 of his crew came with shingles in hand to replace the missing shingles so no further damage would occur. They did a fantastic job of repairing the area & I'm sure they will also do a great job when I get them back here for the new roof. The gentlemen were personable yet professional with a very good work ethic. Top notch in my book!!!

Paul gave no follow up. He came out to look at the job and told me that he would get back to me with a proposal. I never got a proposal, I called him and left a message that I had not received the proposal and if he was not interested or able to do the job to please let me know. Did not respond to my phone call. Very unprofessional. I would at least expect a phone call telling me that he was not available but no such thing.

All, Please look at all the positive reviews. It is all coming on the same day or very close to each other. I think someone from them or the owner is writing positive reviews in a same day or consecutive days. All negative reviews are really bad. I didn't hire them but asking them to come and take a look, and getting responses, I think this company is a scam. Please be aware and see the pattern of positive reviews before you hire them.

Very disappointing experience. Communication online through Angie's List email received no response. Next, the person answering the phone knew nothing about the maintenance offer being sold on Angie's List. Scheduling was a challenge as they kept wanting to stop with little notice and we needed a specific day/time in advance to ensure that someone was home. All that being said, we could have overlooked those issues if the service delivered met our expectations but unfortunately that was not the case. They spent ~15 minutes on the roof and then provided a verbal summary of a few issues. They sealed a few places and said we had a few loose shingles, that's it, no major problems. There was no checking for interior leaks. There was no written report left or sent afterward and no photos shared. A Subsequent inspection by another roofing company identified a number of serious problems and a written recommendation to replace the roof which is ~25 years old. We find it hard to believe that the "maintenance service" provided did not identify the same problems.

Excellent experience. Paul and his team were on time and managed the job in a day and a half. They also worked to try and track down the source of a leak that appeared to be roof/gutter related. He made some minor repairs to our gutters as a result.

Was very detailed in his bid, very courteous and very willing to answer questions and offer suggestions. Very professional and experienced. We did not use Paul, however. Although his bid was competitive, we went with another company recommended by a contractor friend of ours whose bid was slightly less.

Paul was very clear about the job and his bid was accurate. He stated he used a local crew, and sure enough his son Brad ran the crew for 2 weeks while the job was completed. They completed the job as described, replaced wood where needed, cleaned up daily, and in the end I have a nice new roof that doesn't leak. They were respectful to the neighbors and I even have some brick pointers working nearby comment on their professionalism. The office can be hard to get a hold of during the busy spring season, but a little persistence and it was fine.
