We needed the job quickly and he worked with making our time frame work so we were able to settle on time. "Fantastic company. They called me Sunday morning and left message that they could come out that afternoon. I didn't see the message until later so I called them. I had great customer service from Shelby. She explained they are running a free camera view of the drain and they have a military/veteran discount. She answered all my questions about their experience etc. So I set up for them to come out Monday morning. Mike was on tie and very friendly. I explained my drain problem which has happened the last three or four years but the camera video showed no clogs. It did reveal that when they put in the sewer line (was on well and sand mound) the installer took a shortcut. My drain goes from plastic to cast iron back to plastic. Mike felt it was enough change to grab ahold of the solids. Mike also felt that an extra flush from time to time would reduce the chance of the blockage. So, between the excellent customer service, the timely tech arrival and his knowledge not to mention the free camera view of the drain , I would most definitely hire them again. If you got drain issues, give them a call, you won't regret it. They're local (Lewisberry) they're experienced, and they're really great to work with."

Septic Tanks questions, answered by experts

While dry wells can be effective for managing rainwater, they have several disadvantages. They can become clogged with sediment, especially after large storms, which reduces their effectiveness and can be difficult to clean. Dry wells are also not suitable for all soil types; they will not function properly in soil with low permeability. Additionally, if a dry well is not large enough to handle the amount of rainfall in your area, it can overflow. For gravity-flow models, the water may disperse very slowly, depending on the well's depth and the soil's permeability.

How do you set your well’s pressure tank? All you need to do is first drain the tank of water and find the pressure switch. Remove the switch cover and adjust the switch with a wrench—clockwise to increase water pressure, and counter-clockwise to reduce it. Each complete turn of the nut on the switch should equal 2.5 psi. Once this is done, replace the switch cover. All that’s left is to adjust the pressure of the tank itself using an air compressor and a tire gauge to support the new setting.

Normally, when your well pump turns on or off, you’ll hear a small click. This isn’t anything to worry about, but it can be a problem if it’s clicking continuously. This can indicate that the well pump is short cycling—the pump continuously turns on and off.

This can wear out the motor and provide uneven water flow. If this happens, you may need to get it looked at by a well pump professional to see if you need to repair the switch or pump.

The physical constraints of hand-drilling a well limit the depth you can achieve. Manually digging with picks and shovels may only lead to shallow wells of up to 60 feet in depth. To reach greater depths, you need more specialized equipment. The diameter of your well and the tools you’re using will determine how far down you can dig.

Having a well means that a household’s water supply, including water that comes through faucets, showerheads, and appliances, is supplied through a private source rather than from a city. The well pulls fresh water from an underground water supply, such as an aquifer, and the well pump pushes the water from the well to your household.
