On the freeze they had to set up a temporary pipe to drain it until the weather improves. This happened to me with another company too. All is well. The furnace is working well. No problems. Wish I could tell you more as to what they did but it’s Greek to me.

Everything went great! The two individuals that were sent to our house were very friendly and professional. They were able to answer all of our questions and get the job done in a timely manner. Would definitely hire again.

This service was outstanding. The repairmen arrived on time and were very professional and diligent. Jim explained everything that they would be doing and also showed what was going on as the work progressed. Even though they encountered a missing vent pipe in the process that did not stop them from completing the job. I now have a new furnace and a properly placed vent pipe .More importantly this company provided peace of mind and performed excellent work for a very reasonable cost.
 This is a local company that certainly appreciates its customers and is both fair and honest in their estimates for the cost of a service and in performing that service. This is very important especially to someone like me on a limited income.
I will certainly continue to use this company for all of my heating and plumbing needs.

Wonderful! They were very courteous, showed up on time, explained everything extremely well and it went perfectly.

Their price was very competitive and quality of workmanship was excellent.  They were very prompt and showed up exactly when they said they would be there and completed the job in one day, as promised. 

The workers were friendly and answered all of our questions.  They put down tarps on the flooring and left the entire area clean.

The crew arrived at the agreed time, ready to roll. They laid tarps on the rug and when they left, you couldn't tell anyone had even been in the house. When the water tank was drained, the repairman showed the old elements to me; they were totally corroded from the hard water. He installed new ones and adjusted the thermostat. Money well spent as the water heater runs a lot less frequently now.

The HVAC installers were working in the same general area but there were no conflicts but a feeling of friendly companionship on the part of all the workers. And a bit of kidding around. Nice to hear that many people all get along. There was a bit of a problem with fitting the new furnace to the space and holes from the old one, but they overcame it. The outside compressor went in relatively smoothly as did the installation of the water softener.

Before everyone left, each made sure that I understood how the mechanicals worked and I received all the manuals.

It took about five and a half hours from start to finish and I am extremely pleased with the way that the entire project was handled. From the initial estimate through some minor changes on my part to the final installation, I was treated with courtesy, respect, and professionalism. This company will have my business for years to come.

They are always timely, and it went great as always. It took a little while to install, but it looks great. Even thought they were just here, they were willing to come back to fix the leak.

They have been out to my home several times I have an older home. During the ice storm we had an issue with sump pump. My electricity had went out, when I called the guy he came out after my electricity came back on. He came out eventhough he was on his way home. There pricing is very reasonable. Water at times is very low in the home and they have showed me how to fix it. They are very knoweleadgeable. They changed the air flow in tank so would not cut off and it has not cut off since.

They have always been prompt, professional and pleasant to have in our home.

Steve, the owner, visited to see the job site first-hand and provide a detailed estimate/contract. This was provided later the same day via email, at which point I approved the costs listed. We set up a date for the installation, which required tearing out our old huge boiler. A crew was dispatched on the promised date. There were enough crew members to do the installation the same day, and they arrived first thing and went about their work very professionally. They cleared out the old junk, set up a beautiful installation of the new equipment, cleaned up after themselves, and that was that. They even discovered that out old gas water heater had not been properly vented into the chimney, and even though a bit of additional work was required to correct this there was no additional charge over the original estimate.
Steve made a follow-up call the next day to ensure that we were completely satisfied, and we certainly were. Everything works perfectly, the house is far more uniformly comfortable with the new furnace, and the savings on gas over the old unit should pay for this in a few years at most. My only regret is that we didn't do this years earlier.
I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend Stambaugh's to anyone!

The job only took about 20 minutes and I was very relieved to know it was fixed. This was a job that I would not have consider doing myself.

They are very good and very reasonable. They were fantastic. Our waterline from the street to the house apparently had a leak at 600 feet, so we thought the leak was probably right down by the street but everybody said well it is by the street and I would have been charged about $1500 to dig it up and find it. If it is not by the street, it might cost $6000 if we have to run a new line all the way to the house. We called Stambaugh and they came out, fixed it for $700, so what should I tell people like them ? We will use them again.

Unfortunately one of the housings (or one of its components) they installed was itself defective. So the new one leaked just like the old one even though it was correctly installed. They had to come back twice to get it working. They guarantee their work and were very quick to respond when we called and told them about the problem. They didn't ask for more money for the subsequent visits.

They came out right away and fixed it. They were very professional, and they did a great job!

The job went perfectly and especially fast since it was done on some of the hottest days of the year. We love having cool air upstairs since the one unit downstairs just could not do the job. Steve was wonderful and made sure we knew exactly how our new thermostat worked and how to change the filter on our new unit.
