"I purchased new appliances and thought it would be an easy install but then again things are never easy when your house is 150+ years old. On delivery day I learned that the stove, dishwasher and a blower underneath the stove were hardwired. GEN3 sends one of their awesome techs, George, to come out and give an estimate. I was impressed with his knowledge and reassurance that he could complete the job that I scheduled for him to return the next day to do it. He was on time and after donning work booties and reviewing the work with me, he went right to work. Afterwards he went over the completed projects with me then cleaned up his work area. "Furnace was not operating because the company's automatic delivery system ran me out of oil.
Technician showed up promptly and got the furnace operating but could not get heat into the house. Had to reschedule to have zone valves replaced. Technician show up late and didn't have the required parts. Had to reschedule again.
The third technician showed up on time with all the correct parts and worked most of the day to get the system operating properly.
He was completely knowledgeable and very conciencious that everything was working correctly.

"Two technicians arrived promptly and immediately started the analysis to determine what the problem(s) was. They determined, first, that the outside fan motor had failed. They obtained a replacement motor, installed it, and further determined there is an apparent leak in the system. They put refrigerant into the unit to bring it up to required operating parameters. They were willing to pressure-check the system to find the leak, however, I told them to wait. The unit has a history of a slow leak. Three previous leak tests by the original installer of the unit failed to find it. I prefer to wait until milder weather arrives to get still another leak test performed. These technicians were capable, courteous and fast. They did the work in less than 4 hours which included a 30-mile round trip to get the replacement motor, All of this was done in 14 degree F weather."

Everyone from Unique that we interacted with was professional, personable, and patient. After sizing our heating requirements, Unique presented us with several packages, of differing efficiency, that included boilers smaller than the old one, but ones that would meet our heating needs. This was in contrast to other companies that wanted to replace our old boiler with one of similar size, not taking into account that the old one was oversized to begin with. The Unique package we chose included outdoor reset, and air elimination, items that may have increased upfront costs, but ones that will probably offer savings, convenience, and increased comfort in the long run. They are really good. I had four guys out here for, like three days. They put in a great heat pump real easily. Not only did they put in a new furnace, but the ducting that was in here at the house was, like, 30 years old so they tore it out and re-did it with custom ducting made out of big sheets of metal. They only charged me $3,000 for the furnace. I am glad I did because it has made a huge difference in the air quality here. They came out yesterday. They said they would be back for the winter servicing. I have an oil backup so they were out for a number of hours yesterday. They will service it for the next 10 years and it is under warranty for 10 years too. They are great guys. Frank Ford is the owner of it. He and his guys do excellent work and really care. Their prices are as good as anybody. The price depends on what unit you get so it is hard to say. These guys are terrific. I would say if you needed a new heat pump or furnace they should be number one on your list.
