"Eugene and his team were very professional and did a great job with my kitchen floor. During the demo part, they ran into some unplanned issues with the flooring, and then later with the tile itself but they always made it work or suggested the best options to move forward. The job was completed on time and the finished floors looks great."

"I called Ed on a Sunday and heard back first thing on Monday morning. He was able to fit me in that Friday, the morning after I had some pretty messy roommates move out. Ed and Karen were really friendly and quick! They were thorough and made my place look newer than when I first bought it a few months ago. I had to work from home that day but never felt like I was in the way, and felt comfortable trusting them in my space if I needed to leave the house. The floors are shining beautifully, and my ugly kitchen floors actually look nice now! The oven is spotless and they even cleaned the space between the oven and cabinetry, which is always a pain for me to get to. I did notice a few dust bunnies still roaming around the living room after they left, and the couch didn't seem to get cleaned underneath or behind. I missed that during our walk through otherwise I would have asked. All in all, exceptional work and they were done in just a couple of hours. Definitely going to be calling them again in the future!"

"This company is very professional and understands deep cleaning!!!. I have always wanted to hire a service to do deep cleaning since I thought in general I kept my home very clean - okay had issues with shower stall. So requested the major focus be on 2 bathrooms (a very very dirty shower stall) and kitchen including cabinet doors. Results: * Stainless steel stove fan - I thought the top was a textured when I moved in ~15 years ago. Well it isn't they got off everything that was on there over 15 years.......; ) * Kitchen cabinets very very clean. * Shower stall - amazing results. * Second bathroom - the sink fixtures shine more than ever have. * They also did basic cleaning dusting , vacuuming etc. In summary, I will be recommending them to everyone I know.....Deep cleaning experts like this is the way to go."

"They use environmentally-friendly carpet cleaning products, which is why I chose them. The technicians are very prompt, provided me with estimates, did the work that was said would be done, and explained what was needed. The owner even cared enough to come out the green cleaning class that I was doing once! I’m happy with their services!"

"Essentially, the clean my floors and then they do light house keeping for me. The floors were a large problem for me because I have tile flooring and I have dogs, they have done a fantastic job keeping up on my floors. Clay, the owner, is very customer oriented and is very friendly. If I have to make scheduling changes, they are responsive and accomodating."

"Friends and neighbors who know what our basement looked like before are stunned by the gleaming concrete floor. Its warm brown stain and unusual character make you forget you're in a basement at all, thanks to the great job done by Alan and his crew at Your Concrete Guy.
The floor was in terrible shape: parts of it had been tiled, parts painted, parts dug up and badly patched, and all incredibly uneven. After consultation and helpful advice from Alan, we opted to have the floor grinded and skim-coated before staining. We learned that staining a concrete floor takes faith: It's not an exact science because every floor responds a little differently to the stains—even after skim-coating. From a color and design standpoint, we didn't know exactly how our floor would look when it was finished. But Alan had prepared us well and together we adjusted here and there along the way to achieve a great final result.
Alan's crew was punctual and courteous and the job stayed on budget and on schedule. After they finished, we covered the floor and proceeded with the final renovation. Now the floor is uncovered and Alan is completing some after-construction touch-ups. I would recommend his company to anyone who is planning a concrete make-over.

Floor Polishers questions, answered by experts

Both buffing and polishing increase the longevity of your floors by removing scratches and buildup, but they are different processes. Polishing removes the top layer of your floor, removing surface-level scuffs and scratches. Buffing your floor involves filling the scratches and scuffs with a buffing solution. No matter which method you choose, you can rest assured that both techniques will leave your floor looking shiny and new.

Regular sealing, proper drainage, and periodic inspections prevent premature wear and cracking.

You can buff out small scratches or indentations from your hardwood floor, but refinishing is your best bet if you have larger areas that need work. Floors in relatively good shape but have lost their luster can be restored with thorough buffing. If your finish has worn off in areas or if you have sun or water damage, you should go with refinishing instead.

Yes, vinegar and water can strip wax. For a DIY wax stripper, mix about a quarter cup of vinegar with one gallon of warm water. You can also mix one cup of cream of tartar, one cup of white vinegar, and one gallon of water. Before using it on a large area of the floor, you should test it in an inconspicuous place to make sure it works like you want it to.

While every professional home cleaner will have their own preference, most will use a commercial floor cleaner specifically manufactured for laminate floors. They will also use a vacuum or microfiber cloth to remove loose grit before breaking out the mop. Some cleaners will also make a final pass with a dry and clean cloth to dry your laminate floors for a smooth shine.
