"I am SO thrilled I went with Tom H. at Trinity Flooring! I had a deep scratch in my engineered hardwood flooring that I needed to be repaired. Tom gave me several options and explained the pros and cons of each one. I NEVER felt pressured to choose any specific option, and I wasn t up sold on flooring!! Each of my encounters with Tom found him to be: a clear communicator (relayed information to me in a way I understood and LISTENED TO MY NEEDS!), responsible (returned calls and stayed within estimate), and professional (showed up on time and finished repair on time!). I would HIGHLY recommend Trinity Flooring for ANY of your flooring needs!!"

"Patrick and his team are great. They tore out an old asphalt garage floor and poured a new cement floor. They also poured a large concrete slab for RV parking and walk way that wraps around the house. Their work is high quality, everything is sloped well and leveled to match the existing structures like AC unit and crawlspace entrance. After a week there was a small area that had issues and Patrick agreed to repair it. I will use them for future projects."

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

No, termites don’t eat bamboo flooring like they do hardwood flooring. That’s because bamboo is a hardy grass that is naturally resistant to many pests, including termites. If you’re concerned about termites or other pests that could damage your floors, you can achieve a look similar to hardwood without the stress of pests by installing bamboo flooring.

Some root cellars are made with concrete, but a dirt floor may be better for your crops' longevity. Dirt can help maintain an appropriate temperature and humidity level, while the concrete might suck up all the moisture. Dirt floors can also bring down the overall cost of your root cellar. But, if you’re going with a dirt floor, make sure you properly insulate between your house and the root cellar.

Houses naturally settle over time, but they should settle uniformly with no apparent settling in one spot. If your floor is uneven but only in a particular area of your home, differential settlement could be the problem. This can be caused by improper drainage, erosion, expanding soil, earthquake activity, or poor construction techniques.

In a wet room, you need a floor that won’t sustain damage with constant exposure to water, but your options are normally the same as with a bathroom. Ceramic and porcelain tile are suitable options, as are natural stone like granite and marble, much like in a standard bathroom. Since a wet room’s floor is more likely to be wet, you should choose a flooring option with some texture to reduce how slippery the material gets.

To prep a floor for painting, start by sweeping and cleaning any loose debris that could puncture the protective material. Take out as much furniture as possible. Then lay plastic, canvas, rosin paper, or masonite sheets across the room, securing them at the edges with masking tape. Plan your painting so that you minimize the chances you’ll step in and track any splatters.
