"I highly recommend Paragon Electric. Clint, the owner, was very responsive with calls and texts prior to the service call, and was thorough and knowledgeable. He explained his analysis of the electrical problem beautifully, answered questions and utilized his time well within the service call period, which included a run to a local store for an atypical breaker. Thanks Clint!"

Customers say: Terrific value

"We are renovating a former rental, and while replacing the electrical outlets and switches lost power to half the house.  We had used JM3 before and had a good experience, so we called late in the afternoon on a Thursday and made an appointment for 8:30 Monday morning. The technician rang the doorbell at 8:31. He quickly got to work checking all of the outlets and switches - whether we had changed them out or not. He madeaking corrections as he went. He even identified problems in places we hadn't worked on yet!

"I basically lucked out when I found North By Northwest on Anji's List. Troy is very knowledgeable and professional, and my husband and I felt very comfortable in having him take on the project. He completed the job in a most timely manner. Another benefit is knowing that we now have a most reliable electrician to call for other electrical issues."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Homeowners in Molalla often request 240V outlets for shop equipment, RV hookups, and energy-efficient LED lighting in barns. Whole-house surge protection and smart home upgrades, like WiFi-enabled switches, are gaining popularity. Outdoor living spaces with dedicated electrical service are in demand, as are solar-ready panels and energy monitoring systems. GFCI upgrades and hardwired smoke detectors remain essential for safety in Molalla’s wet climate.

Helpful?

Upgrading electrical systems in Molalla boosts safety and supports rural living needs, such as powering well pumps and shop tools. Enhanced home wiring allows for reliable internet and smart home features, which are increasingly important for remote work. Modern panel upgrades also enable outdoor lighting and entertainment spaces, making homes more comfortable and adaptable to Molalla’s changing weather and lifestyle trends.

Helpful?

In Molalla, if you notice flickering lights, frequent breaker trips, outlets that feel warm, or a burning smell near electrical panels, these are strong indicators you need an electrical contractor. Homes with aluminum wiring or outdated panels, especially in rural areas, often require home wiring upgrades. If GFCI outlets fail in kitchens or bathrooms, it’s best to consult a local professional for a thorough inspection.

Helpful?

The timeline for electrical projects in Molalla varies: panel upgrades typically take 1-2 days, while whole-house rewiring may require 3-7 days. Adding outlets or switches is often completed within a few hours. Weather delays, permit processing, and inspector schedules can impact timing, especially during the rainy season, so it’s wise to plan ahead and work with an experienced electrical contractor.

Helpful?

In Molalla, homes with crawl spaces, post-and-beam construction, or concrete slabs can make electrical work more complex. Properties with multiple outbuildings, long driveways, or steep terrain require extra planning for safe wiring. Older farmhouses and manufactured homes may have outdated electrical systems, so it’s important to discuss these details with your contractor to ensure a smooth project.
