Good service and pricing.

I felt I got charged too much for the work done. The worker was an hour late, so he could find a fan at Home Depot. The next day, I went into my attic, to find he did "bypass surgery" grounding the base of the old fan to the new one. OK, if necessary, but he left the new unit dangling by it's wires. I had to nail the base of it to a nearby 2"x4" crosspiece. One good thing, he did screw down the new unit instead of nailing it in place. The old one was nailed down, causing it to vibrate noisily, and eventually it failed.....Also, a couple of days beforehand, when the business owner looked at it and gave me an estimate, he said that it would take around 4 hours. It only took 1 hour. So I feel I got overcharged for that reason alone.

I basically lucked out when I found North By Northwest on Anji's List. Troy is very knowledgeable and professional, and my husband and I felt very comfortable in having him take on the project. He completed the job in a most timely manner. Another benefit is knowing that we now have a most reliable electrician to call for other electrical issues.

They were prompt and the work was performed well. I felt the price was quite high for the job.

The technician arrived early and explained each step as he worked. Friendly, knowledgeable and courteous.

We recently had our home electrical looked at and completed. Troy and Todd were able to locate and fix all our faulty lights, outlets issues and get them working again. This also included our clothes dryer. In the process they installed new circuit breakers to replace the ones that were burnt and damaged. Just purchased a new home and I had a dead short for the disposal. I was worried about the cost given the other renovation projects I have. I called and spoke to Troy and scheduled an appointment just a few days later. He arrived first thing in the morning as promised and was a complete professional. He had repairs completed within an hour and was super friendly and knowledgeable. I will not only call this company for any future electrical needs, but I will recommend them to anyone I know who needs an electrician.

Troy and Todd arrived on time and worked tirelessly for 6 hours to complete installation of lighting for a pool table. We are very happy with the result and wholeheartedly recommend them for any electrical work.

Troy and Todd were fabulous! Professional, courteous, kind, polite, and awesome electricians. It was difficult to find electricians on the Oregon Coast that were not booked out several months. I expanded my search upriver and landed on this duo out of St Helens. Troy actually answered the phone (also rare out here on the coast) and said he had an opening early in the following week. What!?!?! They showed up on time and it took them 3 days to install several outlets, switches, and light fixture housing units. They met their challenge with a 1914 Craftsman, but they prevailed! They hit numerous roadblocks, but never gave up. All of the 24 wishes on our list were completed in the estimated time (and a few extra as well). They were careful to minimize sheetrock damage and I got it back together quickly. Allow this crew to make holes in sheetrock! Patch kits are available and if done properly, no evidence of them making holes will be noticeable. Hire this duo!

They are extremely professional, reliable and efficient! I had a number of outlets that needed to be upgraded, additional outlets installed and light fixtures switched out. They did a very nice job. They are also very conscientious about cleaning up behind themselves and respect the homeownersâ vegetation and interior surroundings. I would highly recommend them and plan to hire them once again when the need arises. Plus they are a locally owned small business in St Helens and I prefer to support local businesses to help our economy. Their prices are fair and reasonable too.

This remodel was one-of-a-kind, to create a spa-like bathroom using my old claw foot tub. Troy and his crew went above and beyond. I'm so pleased with the craftsmanship, we worked together for a satisfying design overall, and Troy created some of the details himself (e.g., built-in entertainment shelving, lighting in tile niches). He was very concerned with my satisfaction and sought approval on these items, but his ideas were priceless and we collaborated well. Troy and his crew are also very trustworthy, I felt very comfortable having them in my home whether I was here or not. They were respectful and friendly, and there was hardly any dust (they took special care). My dog liked them, too! The only thing I would say is that the project took longer than planned, but I think that it was due to the careful detail work that the job required. The price we contracted was honored even though things took longer, and in the end I couldn't be happier with my spa bathroom. I would highly recommend these guys and will be using them for my next project!

Troy, Jerry, and Salvador exceeded our expectation on our remodel. They took care of every imaginable detail. Can't say enough good things about them. Hire them!!!!

If I could I would give Troy more than 5 Stars. The remodel of two bedrooms and 1 bathroom in the basement was executed better than I ever expected. Though I was more than 4ooo miles away from the actual construction zone, Troy kept me informed and updated via videos. He brought in so many valuable ideas, stayed within the estimate and was amazingly responsive. He truly went above an beyond. If I ever have to hire someone for any building, repair, construction project - it would be North by Northwest.

I found Troy and son very responsive to my needs. Although the final touches of hooking up outlets and lights are scheduled to be done shortly, all the previous work was carried out well and most importantly for us, ON TIME. We upgraded our power panel and wiring for a complete kitchen remodel.

I have never hired an electrician before so did not know how much they charge. I had to have one circuit unit replaced in my circuit box. It cost $135 to replace it, and didn't take very long, but appreciate the honesty of the contractor and not charging me more than he should.

Service was tmely and complete.

Job was done as bid and satisfactorily.

The Tech that came out was on time, figured out my problem quickly and had everything taken care of in under an hour. Very pleased.
