JIREH Painting is a professional, licensed, bonded and insured painting contractor. Our team works throughout Oregon and Washington. The number of employees varies depending on the season we are working. Mostly our company works on its own, however, we have worked as subcontractors en several occasions. We carry a great and awesome name, JIREH, which comes from the Bible and it means “God our Provider”. October 14, 2010 My parent’s hired Jireh Painting to paint the trim on their house and I was so impressed at the quality of work that Luis’ team performed that I requested an estimate to paint my entire house. I’m so glad I did because Luis’ pricing is very competitive especially since he uses the highest quality paint. We chose their service after observing their workmanship on the exterior paint job for our neighbor's home. Luis gave us a competitive estimate which included thorough preparation, siding repairs, caulking, taping of all trim and windows, as well as special details which we requested. He did a fine job of painting using high-quality paint and making sure the coverage was thorough. He also succeeded in painting hard-to-reach areas, and we were very pleased with the work of his assistant in painting our trim. Upon completion of the job, they made sure all finishing touches were handled and left no debris behind. The only complaint is that there is a small rust stain in the grout just behind the toilet. Luis was not able to completely clear it. It has resisted additional attempts as well.
Luis performed the job while we were out of town, and he did a good job of accommodating our house-sitter. The job was finished on time, as promised.
The preparation was meticulous. They did a very thorough job masking prior to painting. The baseboards and caulking look great. Very clean cut lines on the baseboards and ceilings. This is despite the ceilings being quite wavy. Doors, walls and ceilings look just as good.
There was a communication breakdown in the beginning. We assumed the trim would be brush work. We never asked if brush or spray. We finally caught on after days of masking with no painting, that they were going to spray the entire job. Originally the job did not include the ceilings. However, once the scope of the masking became apparent, we requested that they add the ceilings. In the same white as the trim, but with flat, not semi-gloss. They added this with an additional charge for materials. But kept the completion date solid.
Daily punctuality could have been better. Typically arrived one half hour later than expected. However, the job was completed on time. There was a big push at the end including a couple of long days and late nights to ensure completion on time. This was despite the very late, and large change to the scope of work when we added the ceilings.
Overall we are pleased with the job done. I would recommend them, in fact, we have hired them again ourselves.
We made a bad color choice and didn't like it once it was on the house. Luis didn't give us any problems but just asked us to pick a different color and only charged $500 more to repaint the entire house. That included the cost of paint and the labor. Very accomodating and we were so happy with the final result!
Luis used premium paint on our house and you can tell from the look of the paint and the feel. I would highly recomend Jireh Painting to any of my friends. And I would hire them again for future house projects.
