4 employees. Free in home estimates. On and off job work. locally owned independant contractor not a franchise. Eco friendly process that will save you money. For Bend Area, please contact Keith at 541-213-6814 or [email protected]. For Portland Area, please contact Peter at 503-488-0640 or [email protected]

"Unprofessional. Most measurements are off. Custom doors are gapped and the hardware isn't even lined up. 6 months later the paint and wood are chipping, and today a hinge fell out of the door (the wood is stripped and broke off of the screws). I've waited a long time to write this review. I didn't want to have to leave a terrible review, but the honest truth is this business is somewhat of a scam. There is no care or pride in the work. When reading reviews from 2016 they sound glowing. There may have been one point when this business was going well. There are so many things wrong with our project, in hindsight I wish I had paid a couple thousand extra and gone to Home Depot or Loews where I know it's an accountable business that will back up their work."

Experience When you want a job done right, you hire an expert. Paul Newton of Newton Painting & Property Maintenance. Newton has provided quality interior\exterior, residential and commercial painting services all over the Willamette valley area and beyond for over 30 years. Other painting contractors use students and inexperienced labor to cut down on overhead. Newton Painting & Property Maintenance is a small, local, family-owned & operated. Owner Paul Newton is on site for every job and only uses experienced painters. Don't let our size fool you. Newton can do it all big and small. From apartment complexes, historical landmarks, commercial businesses, and of course residential work. See our Services page. Quality As a customer you want the highest quality work possible. That means you want the paint applied properly under the proper conditions whether interior or exterior so the paint will last. You want the job performed by a skilled paint contractor knowledgeable about conditions, less experienced painters may miss. An expert eye that can spot various trouble areas to look for and how to repair or correct them before the work is done to prevent costly fixes later, whether residential or commercial work. You want someone who has years of experience working with different brands of paint and knows what paint works under which conditions to save you money. • Residential & Commercial Painting • Interior & Exterior • High-Powered Pressure Washing • Cabinetry - Painting\Refacing\Restoring • Wallpapering - Removal & Hanging • Texturing - Ceilings\Walls • Various Faux Finishing • Paint/Stain/Lacquering • Custom Repair Painting • Decks & Porches • Minor Structural Repair • Drywall Repair • Siding Repair & Replacement • Decks & Porches • Color Consultation • 2-year guarantee on labor • Expert Knowledge & Performance • Competitive Rates Affordability For most people, your home or business is your most costly investment. Painting is an expense that beautifies and protects your investment. You work hard for your money just like we do. You want your dollar spent wisely and the work to last. Don't sacrifice quality for affordability. You could use the most expensive paint by the biggest company and the highest contract bid but that doesn't guarantee the work will be high quality and last for years. Using inexperienced painters to save money, can end up being costly by having to do corrective work or having to paint again sooner than you should. Let Newton Painting do the work and get it done right the first time affordably.

Hi, I have over 7 years of experience in building maintenance, appliance repairs and anything construction, I can fix and build almost anything. No job is too small. Fully licensed and bonded since 2023. We provide free estimates. Please text or call my office directly at 5039992369 so we can get connected faster and more efficiently. Thank you so much.

"I hired AJ to install an electric range fill kit that I had purchased. He looked at the instuctions and examined the fill kit prior to the visit to install the kit. When he attempted to install the kit, he told me he forgot to bring a metal cutting blade, but would use a grinder to cut the steel piece to the right length. (even though he knew he would need a metal saw and blade) Then he cut one of the pieces too short, and also ruined the paint on the pieces by using the grinder. He proposed filling the gap with silicone and that I buy paint to cover it. I told him I was skeptical, and asked him if he would make it right if we didn't like the result. He looked me in the eye, smiled, and said that he would. The silicone shrunk and looked awful. Painting it would not have helped. I notified AJ that I purchased another fill kit and asked him to contact me to install it. He ghosted me and has not responded. So I had to buy another kit and also pay someone else to cut it. I really regret hiring him, and I'm so disappointed since I liked him and thought he was a trustworthy person."

Furniture Refinishing questions, answered by experts

When browsing the hardware store, you may wonder about wood putty versus wood filler. Wood putty is made with plastic adhesive, whereas wood filler is made from sawdust or wood products.

The main difference is that people use wood filler to fix the interior portions of wood. Wood putty contains chemicals that could damage the inside of wood, so it's best for exterior sections. If the crack or hole goes into the middle of the lumber, it's the right product for the job.

Yes, many custom builders offer finishing and upholstery options tailored to your style.

For small, simple pieces that aren’t antiques, a professional furniture refinisher can usually refinish a piece in two to three hours, while larger pieces—like bed frames and full dining sets—could take several days. Your refinishing professional should be able to give you an estimated timeline for the work before getting started so that you can plan to be without your furniture during the process. Antique furniture might require additional time and take a week or more to refinish, as they require special care to avoid damage.

Yes, wood veneer is wood. Instead of using large pieces of lumber, wood is sliced into thin sheets that are glued or laminated to larger pieces of wood. Wood veneer is both cost-effective, environmentally friendly, and versatile. It can be stained or have different finishes—varnish, lacquer, shellac, and more—based on your preferences.

Follow care instructions based on the material, regularly clean, and avoid moisture or heat exposure.
