They did a beautiful job re-framing the rotted window frames, and the whole thing was very professionally executed. The got right on it, lots of hustle, and their pricing was good. Although I did not have conversation with most of the crew, Hever and his son were very pleasant, polite, and super easy to deal with. Later, if I have more painting to do, I would call them back in a New York minute. You won't go wrong with these guys!"

"Mark Powers painted the outside of our house about 14 years ago and did a great job, so when we were ready for a color change this year we were happy to discover he was still at it (with a crew this time)! They did a fantastic job again - power washing, scraping and caulking as needed, masking and painting the house, trim and doors different colors. They went above and beyond by fixing a large gap in the fascia boards above the garage, which was left by a roofing crew. They painted the fix to match the trim and it's not even noticeable. We highly recommend Mark Powers for quality painting at a reasonable price!"

You should paint your home exterior every five to 10 years, on average. Climate and surroundings can affect how well paint holds up. Wood siding will likely need a fresh coat of paint every three to seven years. Paint on brick tends to last about eight to 17 years, on average.
Professional painters charge $20 to $50 per hour, on average. Hourly rate cost factors include the complexity of the paint job, the type of paint, the height of the walls and ceiling, and the type of prep and repairs needed. Then they add the total square footage for all of the walls to be painted. To calculate the price, they multiply the total square footage by their cost per square foot to prep and paint. Additional costs may factor in such as repairs, additional trim, and walls higher than the first story.
The cost to paint the exterior of a house ranges from $1,900 to $4,500 or about $1.50 to $4 per square foot, depending on the size, height, and complexity of the home layout. Other cost factors include your location, the type of siding (e.g., wood, aluminum, brick, stucco, etc.), and the kind of paint (e.g. oil-based, latex, acrylic, etc.). Painting the trim a different color or painting intricately designed trim can also increase the cost.
