Arturo worked with us to find a balance between the scope of the work
and the cost. We ended up having more areas painted than we had
originally planned because the price was so reasonable. Even though the
work started with very little advance notice, the crew was on time and
completed the job very quickly with minimal disruption. The quality of
the work was exceptional, and everything was clean and tidy when they
left.
Although and quot;paintersand quot; are a dime a dozen, Arturo is a true
professional who takes good care of his clients, values his reputation,
and respects his client's budget. And he is just an all around nice guy
to deal with.

We were very pleased with the job Jenkins Painting did for us. With our old home, several unexpected things presented themselves for repair such as a large crack, hidden by layers of old wallpaper, that ran down a corner of the bedroom. The windowsills were gouged and in poor condition in several places, and more layers of wallpaper than expected needed removal. But Mr. Jenkins handled it all cheerfully and efficiently, calling in a plaster person, etc.as needed until all repairs were completed. Arturo and his workers always arrived promptly and if even a minor delay was necessary, he called to explain. They were careful to protect the rest of the house from sanding dust and their foot traffic as much as possible. We thought his pricing was very fair and he frequently asked for our opinion as to our satisfaction, stating that he wanted us to be totally happy with the job.

They did an excellent job in prepping, cleaning up and coming back on request to finish up a couple of things. They were prompt and returned my phone calls. I would definitely hire them again.

They seemed extremely professional to me. They were very thorough in helping to explain the process to me. Exactly what the project would take, what I needed to do, and what they needed to do. They helped me to chose paint colors and the quality of the paint. They were very careful while they were out to our home and they were always conscious of the space around them. They kept to the schedule and were immaculately clean when they finished. They were very responsive to me throughout the entire project. Say for example I wanted to change or check something they were always quick to respond and work with me. They were about center of the road when it came to the estimates that I received and I thought it was competitive.

We have raked cedar shingles on our house and detached garage, and they were last painted about 14 years ago, so the job was overdue to be done. The 2-3 man crew power-washed the exterior, then spent a day scraping, caulking and priming the wood for painting. They caught most every paint chip and cleaned up at the end of every day they were here. I was impressed with how tidy they were as they went along. I assumed I would have to do some picking up after them when they were finished, but except for a few stray pieces of painter's tape, they got it all. There were a few details I didn't think they would catch, but I was pleasantly surprised. The paint job is beautiful. The crew was courteous and helpful. I think Arturo may have to come to check their work the first day, but I am not sure. We had to free up one of the old, double-hung windows that we use for venting upstairs. The majority of the windows were vinyl that didn't need painting, but a handful were old and previously painted shut. We didn't let them know we wanted to keep that one window freed up.

They were extremely pleasant people and pleasant to work with. I was struggling with color and I brought a lot of samples and they helped me choose the perfect color for my house. They were very prompt and did an excellent job. They were also very considerate of my landscaping around my house. They weren't the very cheapest but they were well worth it.

We have a very tall house and many contractors would not paint our house or wanted vast sums of money to paint it. Jenkins was painting another tall house in our neighborhood and it looked OK. I will say that the results are quite good. The paint has held up well, and the painter who did the trim is a genius. The price was also very reasonable considering the size of the job. They didn't do a lot of prep work (minimal scraping, no sanding or grinding), but then we didn't pay them to do a lot of prep work. On the other hand, the painters started work most mornings at 11 and finished around 5. There was never a supervisor around, and we rarely saw the owner. Someone who occasionally appeared and claimed to be a foreman was a terrible painter and spilled paint on the driveway. The painters routinely dumped paint in the yard and damaged quite a bit of landscaping, which points to poor training and supervision. There was no port-a-potty for the workers so you can guess where they relieved themselves. Two weeks into the job, the owner informed us that the job was taking too long and that they were going to have to rush to complete it, which meant some dodgy work toward the end. The bottom line was, we just wanted them to leave, and were willing to finish bits ourselves.
Response from Jenkins Painting LLC
"THIS IS RESPONSE TO COMMENTS POSTED BY MEMBER LAST SEPTEMBER 2008. FIRST, WE SINCERELY APOLOGIZE TO HIM FOR THE DISTRESS HE EXPERIENCED AS JENKINS PAINTING FAILED TO COMPLETE HIS PROJECT TO HIS COMPLETE SATISFACTION. OUR RECORDS INDICATE THAT WE COMPLETED THE EXTERIOR PAINTING OF HIS HOME IN MAY OF 2006. UNFORTUNATELY, WE CANNOT FIND, OR HAVE ANY RECOLLECTION, THAT WE RECEIVED ANY COMPLAINTS FROM HIM DURING THAT TIME. ALTHOUGH WE KNOW THAT WE USED, NOT OUR REGULAR CREW, BUT A TEMPORARY CREW FROM ANOTHER PAINTING COMPANY TO DO THE EXTERIOR OF HIS HOME, WE WERE ULTIMATELY RESPONSIBLE FOR CORRECTING ANY PROBLEMS. OUR COMPANY TAKES GREAT CARE TO ENSURE THAT IMPORTANT MATTERS SUCH AS THIS ONE ARE PROPERLY HANDLED. WE TRULY APPRECIATE OUR CUSTOMERS FEEDBACK FROM WHICH, FORTUNATELY FOR US, WE HAVE COMPILED A LONG LIST OF SATISFIED CUSTOMERS. HIS COMMENTS ARE OF GREAT IMPORTANCE FOR US TO CONTINUE IMPROVING THE SERVICES WE PROVIDE. AGAIN, WE ARE SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE AND ANNOYANCE EXPERIENCED BY HIM WITH OUR SERVICES. AT THIS TIME, JENKINS PAINTING HAS DIRECTLY SENT HIM A LETTER OF APOLOGY."
