Customers say: True professional

"C & C Roofing guaranteed us no leaks and even promised to come back out if the leak continued anytime within the next few months after their repairs. We are pretty much through the rough weather season and that was not necessary as everything seems to have been taken care of properly on the first visit."

"The installers were very professional, and patient when answering my questions. They were upbeat and cheerful, and communicated with me as they went along, if needed. I am very pleased with their work. Though I just got the windows, I am thrilled with their functioning so far to reduce the heat coming through the windows from the setting sun, and the ease with which they open and close."

"We've been working with Ron for years, we love the guy.  He can do everything, he's really versatile.  He's always timely, informative and he really can explain what needs to be done for a job. He's really knowledgeable and he will assist with everything from getting defective parts replaced to installation.  He replaced our garbage disposal which failed before the warranty was up.  He handled getting a replacement for us from start to finish, he's thorough and complete."

Egress Windows questions, answered by experts

Most professionals can install a window well in two to three days, depending on the size of the well and the window you want inside it. If you’re just replacing an existing window well, the work is much less intensive, and most experts can get the job done in just one day. Connecting the window well to a drainage system or installing a custom concrete window well will naturally take longer, but even the most complicated installations shouldn’t take more than three days.

The primary benefits of an egress window include providing a safe emergency exit, increasing natural light in a space like a basement, and improving ventilation. Additionally, installing an egress window can often increase your property's value.

Egress windows are typically required for basements with habitable space or living quarters. Not all basements or lower levels require egress windows. However, egress windows are required in homes with living spaces such as bedrooms and living rooms in a basement. The International Residential Code and International Building Code require sleeping rooms to have a specific size egress window. Check your local building codes to confirm the requirements in your area.

Costs depend on window size, type, material, and labor. Custom shapes or sizes typically incur higher expenses; full installation includes removing old windows.

A good U-factor for windows is 0.30 or lower, but they can range from 0.20 to 1.20. A general rule of thumb when it comes to the U-factor is that the lower, the better.
