Small jobs welcome

"AMAZING!! Oliver and his whole team are so professional! From the start, he was the only one out of 7 businesses that showed up for the quote appointment when he said he would/called to confirm. He started our project when he said he would, and really put the hours and effort in! I’m truly blown away by how the deck now looks and they even were here over a holiday weekend to finish it for us. Already have recommended him to our closet friends!"

"The work went very well. Erik came recommended to me by a neighbor. Erik's bid was very competitive, and with the recommendation, I'm glad we chose to go with him. I went with Erik's advice on the roofing tiles. For much of the project, we relied on email/text/phone, and Erik was easy to work with. Erik and his crew worked very diligently, and the timing was great -- got the job done before the autumn storm season started. Definitely put my mind at ease as the old roof was pretty beat up. I recommend Erik highly."

"House exterior and new deck prep and staining were done as two separate jobs, a few years apart. We were happy to re-hire for the deck. For each job, they gave us an estimate that was affordable and appropriate. The work was done in a timely manner to our full satisfaction. The crew is courteous and dependable. We highly recommend PDX Rose City!"

"Brandon and his crew were great. They painted my now rental house in less time than predicted and for a very reasonable price considering the amount of work done."

Customers say: True professional

"I love, love, love Mike, my husband gave me grief because he said he was too cheap to do a good job. Boy did my hubby eat his words. Not only did he do an amazing job on the house, driveway and windows. He made my deck look brand new again and replaced the boards on my steps and the railing, as well as installing a new fan (things that my husband was supposed to fix and never did). Lady's if you have a honey do list that never gets done call Quinn services they will do a better job than your husband anyway."

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

If you have wood decking, there are several common deck problems that you might encounter. For example, your natural wood boards may fade over time due to things like sunlight, weather, and debris. On top of that, some types of wood decking can rot, grow mold, and attract destructive pests—including termites, carpenter ants, and woodpeckers.

When applying multiple coats, wait four to six hours for each coat to dry. Not waiting long enough can result in streaks, peeling, and uneven color. Plus, it will be more difficult to discern where the second coat has already been applied.

Yes, it is generally a very good idea to seal your deck after pressure washing. Power washing removes not only dirt and debris but also a thin layer of wood, leaving the surface exposed and more susceptible to weathering. Sealing is almost always needed after this process. After a general cleaning, sealing isn't automatically necessary if the existing sealant is still intact. You can test the surface by placing a few drops of water on it. If the water beads up, the sealant is working. If it soaks into the wood, it's time to apply a new sealant. If it has been a few years, it's wise to remove the old sealant, wash the deck, and reseal for maximum protection.

Whether you can paint over your existing paint depends on what’s on there. Most of the time, you’ll want to sand down or scrape off the paint that’s currently coating your surface. Epoxy paint, for example, won’t let new paint stick to the surface. Latex paint is more forgiving and will accept a new coat, but a primer is recommended if you’re switching colors.

Yes, many repair services include repainting to match the color of the existing siding or walls. Most professionals offer this service to ensure the repaired area blends in seamlessly.
