Customers say: True professional

"I highly recommend Brad and Hauser Appraisal Services! He is very professional, respectful of your home, and has excellent communication. His appraisal report was very thorough and I received it by the promised date. His appraisal cost is also very affordable, after getting quotes from other appraisal companies."

Small jobs welcome

"Jeff Yano is GREAT to work with. He was able to fit my appraisal into his schedule surprisingly fast. I had contacted other appraisers one never called back..another JUST called me back yesterday..weeks after Jeff Yano had already done my appraisal. He was thorough, kind & helpful. I would use his services again & recommend him to anyone looking for an appraisal. Thank you again for your help and kindness Mr. Yano, I appreciate YOU!"

"The work was performed extremely capably and produced an evaluation that should stand me in good stead as I appeal an excessive property tax revaluation. Akrivis provided me with an accurate, well documented report and took only seven days to do it. I am very pleased."

"Just an overall great experiance, we have a unique piece of property not many have the knowledge to be able to access, he came out and handled it with ease, I highly recommend him, 5 stars are not enough to rate his quality of work."

"Appraiser was very timely, courteous and efficient. I wanted a real estate appraisal not a bank appraisal, which is what I received. The appraiser did explain to me up front that it would be a bank appraisal. He included a couple of appliances in the appraisal which I told him would not be here. I also carefully pointed out all the adverse conditions that a buyer would consider. As a result, I cannot use it to show prospective home buyers. The value he provided was significantly higher than the real estate valuation I later obtained. I would recommend that True Home expand their criteria to allow the customer to select which type of valuation is desired up front. I don't feel this is an error on the part of the appraiser, but that of Home Value."

"Working with David to find our home was a great experience. As first-time buyers, he went above and beyond to explain the buying process and to make sure we really understood what was happening. David spend a considerable amount of time with us talking and looking for homes ( and eating tacos). David researched the houses in our price range and desired neighborhoods meticulously and was extremely thorough, he pretty much knows everything about any house in the Portland metro and beyond. He was very, very helpful when it came down to decision time and helped us through the signing process as well. I have recommended him as an agent to several friends and everyone of them has loved working with David. David really cares if your experience is good and about finding the right home for you. We love our home and it's a perfect fit for us, our own little paradise."

Real Estate Agents questions, answered by experts

While there's not a lot of definite research, some experts suggest that an in-ground or wall-mounted basketball hoop can add value to your home by increasing curb appeal. In addition, having a basketball hoop is an attractive feature of a house since it promotes physical activity, especially for children.

Around 1-2 weeks, including inspection and reporting time for an official evaluation.

A home inspection and a home appraisal serve different purposes. A home inspection is a visual evaluation of the property's overall condition to identify any structural problems or issues with major systems like electrical and plumbing. Its main goal is to assess the home's long-term safety and determine if repairs are needed before a sale. In contrast, a home appraisal is a thorough evaluation of the property and its surrounding area to determine its current fair market value. This value helps set the asking price and guides the mortgage company’s lending decision. The average cost for both a home inspection and a home appraisal is around $350 each.

Historically, Tudor homes originally stemmed from the 15th and 16th centuries, while Victorians appeared during Queen Victoria's reign in the 19th century. The design and structural differences are significant as well. The many types of Victorian architecture—such as Italianate architecture—typically feature ornate trim, wood siding, wraparound porches, and tall towers on top, such as belvederes. On the other hand, Tudor-style homes feature white stucco exteriors with exposed wooden rafters marking the house frame both inside and out.

They provide objective, third-party valuation, guiding fair sales or purchase prices.
