"Was timely and helpful in resolving a project that was messed up by a previous contractor. Note: the previous contractor was located through Angi list and was a complete failure. Caryâ s Pond got the pond reclined completely and added a waterfall feature that was just perfect. The cost was reasonable and he took the time needed to make it right."

"Thank you very much for all you did to support us in creating a lovely, peaceful backyard space. Dave thank you for your guidance in picking plants and designing the layout. We have been outside every day and evening enjoying the outside. Today the fountain was installed to complete the space. All of you were wonderful, organized, responsive and courteous."

"Thanks to Artistic Landscapes we finally have the yard we've always wanted! It was a project with a wide variety of requests and challenges including a 16-zone irrigation system, patio, fountain, new sod lawn, synthetic turf, 2 different types of fencing, multiple paths with different materials, lighting, rock garden, patio planter, raised garden beds, and more. Robert's fantastic crew, led primarily by Sergio, showed off their expertise and handled everything we threw at them, including projects like a crevice garden, that they'd never done before. Their website is a treasure trove of inspiring ideas! Kurt & Carol Putnam"

"Blessing Landscapes is truly a blessing! They are professional, skilled and responsive. Maintenance is dependable and they have modified regular pruning of shrubs and bushes for my specific request, "a free-flowing" look in pruning. "Had them over to quote a stone path / patio extension we were considering for our backyard. Robert stopped by on short notice to quote. We went over all my ideas. He had plenty of info and a good vision for our backyard, as well as a reasonable price. Work went great. Robert, G, and the whole crew were great to work with start to stop. They wrapped up the whole thing in less than a week. We are super happy with the new patio space"

Fountains questions, answered by experts

Like pools, ponds can be a safety risk, so they may increase your homeowners insurance. Be sure to let your insurance company know if you build a pond on your property—they may have safety requirements in order to keep your premium from increasing.

Even if you empty your pond before the winter, there’s a good chance it will refill naturally. It’s ideal in most cases, then, to leave water in your pond and winterize it instead. This method will prevent ice damage and protect wildlife. Plus, it’ll lessen the steps required to reopen your pond in the spring.

While they’re popular and have a lot of pros, the cons of river rocks include the following:

  • River rocks don’t break down or provide nutrients to plants.

  • These stones can get hot and scorch nearby plants.

  • River stones may heat the surrounding soil to inhospitable temperatures.

  • Rocks can block rainwater from seeping into the ground if installations are too thick or tightly packed.

Most downsides occur when using river rock as mulch in gardens and flower beds. However, you can still incorporate river rocks into your landscape as long as you use them in the correct ways.

Natural pools don’t necessarily attract snakes, although there is a chance they could stop by for a quick visit. They’re not likely to stay, however, because there’s nothing for snakes to eat in a natural pool environment. A well-maintained natural pool has clear water, so you should be able to easily spot a snake before diving in.

Seeps and springs form when groundwater reaches the earth’s surface. The main differences between them are the amount of water and the flow rate. Seeps are smaller than springs and consist of water that’s stagnant or flows slowly. Springs contain more water and flow more quickly.
