Blessing Landscapes is truly a blessing! They are professional, skilled and responsive. Maintenance is dependable and they have modified regular pruning of shrubs and bushes for my specific request, "a free-flowing" look in pruning. It went great. Our foreman, Richard Peterson kept us apprised of the project every step of the way. Carlos and Alejandro are true craftsmen. The results are amazing. The employees were professional and hard working. I appreciated that they cleaned up the space every day which was amazing. The project itself took longer than anticipated or hoped for but that was nothing to do with Blessings. It was more delays due to supply and demand. We were very pleased with the whole process.

Elizabeth designed a beautiful plan to supplement the existing plants in my shade garden. She is creative, flexible and a joy to work with. The guys who installed the new plants, from small ground covers to one 5' shrub, did a professional and efficient job, immaculate clean up. Three weeks out, all my new plantings are thriving. We had Blessing do a large project in our front yard that included 3 rock walls, 2 flagstone paths, a patio, slab-stone stairs, landscaping throughout, and irrigation. We then had them come in a year later to irrigate our entire backyard and landscape a side yard. Rebecca's creative-natural designs were spectacular. She provided fun, artistic ideas and helped to find plants that provided color throughout the year. The installers were extremely friendly, hard-working, and respectful of our space. During our most recent project, Juan and Ricardo's friendly smiles and great communication were impressive! We have been pleased with this company from start to finish!!

Much improved yard, but not what I'd call a great job. Our yard, front and back, was an overgrown mess thanks to a new work schedule. Blessing gave us an estimate, I met with the guys doing the job the first morning they were there, and carefully went through what we needed done. We've got quite a few fruit trees, berry/grape vines, and some veggies in the back yard, so I pointed those out and asked the Blessing folk to leave those alone. That night, my partner was furious--the grape vines he'd espaliered onto the fence had been ripped out and thrown in the trash in pieces--totally unfixable. I told the lead guy, and Blessing contacted me to offer replacements. Apparently grape vines are hard to get in this part of the country because it took a couple of weeks to get them in and then another bit to schedule the time to plant them. I discussed some areas of the work that remained unfinished--there were weeds still growing out of the front sidewalk, an overgrown rhododendron by the porch that was supposed to have been cut back but wasn't, etc., and Blessing agreed to also do that work when they returned to plant the grape vines. They finished most of the work, but forgot the weeds in the sidewalk and some of the shrubbery trimming. They planted the grape vines, one of which promptly died despite our care. At that point, with multiple visits and work still remaining, I gave up asking for yet another visit and simply paid the final bill. I absolutely don't argue that the yard was a mess and they very much improved its appearance, but I expected more (and I still don't have a live grape vine). So... although they were nice, prompt, and reasonably priced, they're a bit too much work to use again.

We hired Blessing to completely redesign our front and back yards, including removal and replacement of the existing front and back wooden decks, construction of a paver patio in the backyard, and removal of the old landscaping and implementation of the new landscaping. We wanted to go with a low maintance design, with no grass, and with drought-resistant non-invasive species, very loosely inspired by aspects of traditional Japanese gardens. We also had four existing trees in the backyard we wanted to preserve and integrate into the new landscape. They also offered to do lighting and irrigation installs but we did not pursue those services. Overall we are happy with the design and implementation. We had one meeting to look at the yard and explain what we wanted, received a design from Blessing, and did one round of complimentary revisions (mostly just changing some of the specific plants - and up to two revisions are included for free). Blessing does not do any wooden deck work themselves, but they subcontracted the deck work so we didn't have to deal with a separate contractor, and project managed everything for us as one project. The crew they hired to do the new deck (and demo the old deck) did a great job. I don't recall if our paver patio was done by Blessing directly or also subcontracted to a third party, but that turned out very nice as well. We did have a couple hiccups in the project. First, our contract with Blessing stated the deck would be stained, but there was some miscommunication between Blessing and the deck subcontractor, who did not include deck staining in their contract (and in fact does not provide that service). However, in the end Blessing covered all additional and unexpected costs related to bringing in an additional contractor to stain the front and back decks, who did a great job, and I think speaks very well for the integrity of Blessing as a company. After the landscaping as installed, we also found some plants were missing, including some large plants like 3' tall pencil bushes and 6' tall vine maples. I don’t really know how that happens, and I wasn't pleased that we had to find this for ourselves and it was not detected by Blessing, but when we contacted them about it they did make it right fairly quickly and without any kind of argument, including locating and installing the missing plants, and relocating some plants that were in the wrong place, and throwing in a few free plantings as well. They were very responsive throughout the whole process, from design to completion of implementation, so we never felt left in the dark or like we didn't know they would complete the project. So in summary, I would say the implementation phase could definitely have been a bit more organized and gone a bit more smoothly, but at the end of the day we’re very happy with the design and with the final implementation, so it all worked out, and Blessing was easy to work with throughout. Despite the hiccups we mentioned I would still recommend Blessing, as the overall experience was good, and the final product looks great!

Blessing was wonderful to work with - they were so knowledgeable and incredibly quick. Workmanship was superb. We won't know until winter how well the drainage solutions are working, of course, but I have every confidence that if I have any questions when that happens that I'll be able to reach out. Highly recommend for quality materials, attention to detail, friendly responsiveness, and an ability to think creatively to solve problems. Also, they were able to focus our backyard plantings on my requests for native and edible plants and they additionally took some steps to make sure it would be a wonderful natural habitat for birds, etc. We've actually been able to see an increase in (desirable) wildlife nearly immediately! Our backyard went from a disaster to a place we want to spend all our time! We're also using them for landscaping maintenance and have so far been pleased with that as well. Their costs for that are slightly higher than others but we're pretty sure this is a get-what-you-pay-for scenario! :-) Also, btw, they introduced us to the SYNlawn concept to address drainage. We were originally creeped out by the idea of a fake lawn but HOLY COW, it's like having a carpet outside. The kids have played on it nonstop and we all just go down and lay on it and read books and relax: no allergies, no prickles, no muss no fuss. We are now officially huge fans of this concept.

This is our second time hiring Blessing Landscape and we’d include them in any future bid process. Jesse (owner) is trustworthy, professional and his crew takes good care in their work. We are happy with the design and workmanship. Jesse is hard-wired to do the right thing for his customer. The flatwork on the patio and path is terrific. The final verdict on design will be this spring as the plants come into bloom (our project extended past the growing season so we haven’t seen anything in its prime). Our project was complex and pushed Blessing outside its comfort zone...mainly due to the porch rebuild. In our case, this involved the replacement of the entire porch including the supporting posts on the front porch. The original subcontractor would have been good any “builder grade” project, but we were interested in a high-end finish. The original sub couldn’t deliver and we had to have key portions re-built by a new sub (who did a superb job in half the time; no extra cost to us). To their credit, Blessing stood by the design intent and worked hard for a good outcome. In the end, it’s looks gorgeous and countless passers by have stopped to comment (favorably). The price for all this was high by any measure but remained fixed for us; that said, we agreed to the fees as we knew Blessing would deliver in the end, which is what they have done.

Israel spent all day (7 hours) working on our lawn & beds, which had not had regular maintenance for six months. It looked great when done! He even showed up 5-6 days later to clean up more leaves. Very thorough and tidy. Well worth the money spent! This was a required precursor to our regular maintenance plan we started.

Exceeded my expectations. The yard looks wonderful. I signed up for a higher monthly maintenance plan which included extra services that I wanted and is less than 200.00 dollars a month. Thanks again for coming out! I hope Angie’s List will update/delete the original entry on 5/6/18 since communication issues with this company have resolved. Somehow the website had barriers and I was unable to find out how to go in and modify it myself.

Hi Jesse, Just a quick note to say “thank you” for the wonderful work your team did landscaping our yard. Stacy’s mom passed away this spring and her garden was one of her joys. We decided to use some of her inheritance to landscape our yard in her honor and memory. Roger put together a fabulous design that clearly reflected that he was listening to our desires. Throughout the project he was responsive to our questions and helped us with a few changes along the way. Ruben did a great job supervising the crew on site and making sure we were happy at every stage. Most of all I want to commend the guys who had their hands on the shovels. Euclides, Mariano, and Eddie were the three who were on site most often. They worked hard, respected our home and our neighborhood, and cleaned up each day. But more important, it was obvious they cared about their work and that it was done properly and to our satisfaction. Just one short example. Toward the very end of the project they were getting ready to install new sod. Mariano noticed that the type of sod that arrived in the order was different from the existing grass at our property. We might not have noticed until the grass was already installed, but he knew right away. So he called Ruben, and Ruben called Roger, and he called me to let me know they’d have the correct grass on site the next day. Thanks again, and please extend our thanks to your entire team.
