"Artistic Landscapes did an amazing job on creating a safe and accessible pathway along the side of our home.  What used to be an eyesore of a muddy hill that was unpleasant to traverse, is now a beautiful stairway that we are proud to say is part of our property. Robert and his team are clear experts in the field of landscape and hardscape design and talked with us on options to delineate our property as well as make this a functional and beautiful final product. Bonifacio and Ribaldo made a great on-site team and always had the worksite tidied throughout the workday and immaculate before leaving. The team communicated throughout the project, and Robert made several visits to check in on our satisfaction and emailed with updates. We are very pleased with how it all turned out and has exponentially improved the safety, accessibility, and beautification of our home's exterior. All around great experience and will be contacting Artistic Landscapes for any future projects."

"Had them over to quote a stone path / patio extension we were considering for our backyard. Robert stopped by on short notice to quote. We went over all my ideas. He had plenty of info and a good vision for our backyard, as well as a reasonable price. Work went great. Robert, G, and the whole crew were great to work with start to stop. They wrapped up the whole thing in less than a week. We are super happy with the new patio space"

Fountains questions, answered by experts

Algae growth is a common issue for misters, but you can do several things to prevent it. First, use a sealed water tank with distilled or filtered water to fuel your misters. Second, blow out the misters after every use so no water is left in the tubing. Third, thoroughly clean the misting system every several weeks of use at minimum during the warmest months. Third, wherever possible positioning tubing and the water tank away from direct sunlight and in the coolest areas possible.

Most pond installations take 3-10 days, depending on excavation, liner placement, and filtration setup.

While they’re popular and have a lot of pros, the cons of river rocks include the following:

  • River rocks don’t break down or provide nutrients to plants.

  • These stones can get hot and scorch nearby plants.

  • River stones may heat the surrounding soil to inhospitable temperatures.

  • Rocks can block rainwater from seeping into the ground if installations are too thick or tightly packed.

Most downsides occur when using river rock as mulch in gardens and flower beds. However, you can still incorporate river rocks into your landscape as long as you use them in the correct ways.

One of the most important parts of building a pond is digging the right depth. Your pond needs to be at least one to two feet deep. The specifics of the depth will depend on factors such as the placement of the pond and whether you plan on having fish. If you have fish in your pond, it will need to be at least two feet deep.

Regularly clean pumps, remove debris, and monitor water levels to prevent algae growth and clogging.
