"Sewer drainage was backing up into the shower drains. I asked Lance to do a clean out but after a little work on his part the cleanout wasn’t needed because it was a small clog near the mains n clean out access. He only charged for the service call $90 and showed us how we could do it next time in a few minutes. Great service and great guy!"
"Tech was right on time and quickly found we had a bad blower motor. They quoted me to replace the motor and had the part on hand. I went ahead and had the motor replaced. They informed me the burners were in bad condition and recommended that we think about replacing the unit. I was thankful to get the unit up and running and will think about the replacement. I was very happy with the promptness and the care they took to make sure I understood everything they were doing and how it all related to the operation of the system. "
"Called buddys, had them come look at it. They allowed me to save a little money by moving the hotwater heater myself. The work was done well, even though there was very tight quarters"
"They did a whole house electrical inspection a couple of months ago, and they even changed out burned out light bulbs for me. I give them a B on the price; they're a little high, but they do a good job. I didn't even ask them; they just said have you got any extra bulbs, we will change them out for you. They weren't repairing anything, they were just inspecting to make sure my electrical system was working. I've had an air conditioner, a heater, a whole house generator, and a whole house humidifier put in by them. They do annual electric and plumbing inspections as well as heat and air inspections, they are always extremely nice and do a good job when they do an installation, and I appreciate the inspections that are free. They did an inspection last winter on the heater, but no work actually. When they installed the new heater, it's worked just fine. They just inspect it on a yearly basis."
"I thought I needed resurfacing in bathtub, she advised that it was not necessary. So honest...could have taken advantage. She is great and I would recommend her in many ways. A++++++."
Sump Pump Installation questions, answered by experts
Sump pumps remove excess water from the lowest point of your home, which prevents flooding. When a sump pit fills with water, a sump pump pushes that water outside of the basin and into an exterior discharge pipe. From there, the water flows away from your home, so it doesn’t damage your foundation.
Common problems include motor failure, clogged discharge lines, and float switch malfunctions. Regular maintenance prevents many issues.
If you have a self-cleaning washing machine but you’re still seeing lint, your water pump filter might be clogged. To clean it, you should unscrew the drain hose, then remove the water pump filter. From there, you can inspect it and clean it with warm water before replacing it. Check to be sure your washing machine is functioning by running a short cycle.
There are a couple of similar alternatives you may consider for a sewage ejector pump, including a grinder pump or a submersible sump pump. Submersible sump pumps protect your home from flooding from outside water, though, rather than handling wastewater from inside. A grinder pump macerates, or shreds, solid waste before pumping it onward to the sewer line.
Yes, a well-maintained sump pump can increase a home's value and make it more desirable to potential buyers; it does not lower property value. By protecting the basement from flooding and water damage, a sump pump provides peace of mind and can make the space usable for storage or as an extra room. For buyers interested in homes with basements, a working sump pump is a significant feature that adds value by ensuring the space is secure and less likely to flood.
