"Thana responded immediately to the message I left and was able to come assess my tub the next day.  She arrived right on time and told me that it would be a two-day gig: 1 day to strip the tub of the currently peeling paint and another day to refinish the tub and replace the stopper.  I told her that I could strip the tub.  She said, "Great, you just saved yourself $200."  
She's very much in demand, so I wasn't able to make an appointment till the end of the month (about 4 weeks later), but when the day rolled around, Thana was punctual, and ready to do her thing.  I'm not sure exactly want that thing IS because I left her to do it while I went to work.  When I came home the tub was beautiful, but not quite finished.  She was to return on Wednesday afternoon, once the glaze had dried, to re-caulk and install the drain.  I left her a key and when I got home Wednesday night, the tub and caulk job looked as if I ordered a brand new tub.  She left me directions on how to keep the tub looking beautiful and information about the products she uses.  Overall, a TERRIFIC experience
Some people might have had an issue with not being able to use the shower for 3 days, but I shower at the gym more often than not anyway, so it wasn't a big deal.

"sales rep arrived on time.  I gave him details of what I had seen and wanted. I wanted the existing tub and shower  removed and a walk in shower installed or built.  He told me he would build a better job than what I could buy and install.  Gave me a price and almost immediately discounted $1000.  When I asked how long it was going to take to do the job he said " three days by two men."  He described how the job would be done.  The man that did the job, pretty much did what was described to me.  The price was agreed at $8464.  Told me they could not do it for about 3 months because  they were so busy.  I signed up for the job.  I don't have the exact date the job was done.   Approx 1 month later I was called by the man doing the job and told he could arrive in an hour and start the job.  He arrived at noon worked till six and arranged to come back next morning at 7am.  The job was done and finished and he was gone by 11.30 that morning.  A total time of 11.5 hours.  I had not had any luck getting anyone in McAlester to come and give me a quote to do the job, I figured these men would have to travel back and forth to Tulsa each day, or stay overnight in McAlester for the three days  so I didn't expect McAlester prices.  The rep lied to me about how long it was going to take to do the job, to make his price sound reasonable.  I had a number of other jobs I wanted done and told him so.  I had the other jobs done by local tradesman that cost me $8300.  I hate to think what Community Builders would have wanted..  I would not recommend them to anyone.
