We replaced the bracket to get through the weekend. Motor went out this afternoon again. Tech came out, told us the blower motor would be $1090 to install. Quoted us $4800 for a whole new internal unit. We had a blower motor we had from a friend, had tech wire it so that we could use that for the time being, cost us $135 for that and when we turned on the AC, it’s turns out the tech did not wire it correctly because it would not turn on. Husband called tech and he was told they would not come back out unless we bought the $1090 motor. We went to Durham’s on the south side of OKC, got the blower motor for $306 plus tax and a quote for the whole unit $1600. Office states their price includes installation. That would be $784 for installation of the blower motor and $3200 for the full unit."
