"I recently had the pleasure of working with Stay Dry Waterproofing and I can confidently say that they are the best waterproofing company in town. From start to finish, their team of experts were professional, knowledgeable, and attentive to my needs. The project manager, Brock, was fantastic to work with. He took the time to thoroughly explain the waterproofing process and answered all of my questions with patience and expertise. He also provided a detailed timeline for the project, which helped me plan accordingly. The installation crew arrived on time and worked diligently to complete the project on schedule. They were respectful of my property, kept the work area clean, and were mindful of noise levels. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with the quality of work and level of service provided by Stay Dry Waterproofing. My basement is now completely dry and I have peace of mind knowing that my home is protected from water damage. I highly recommend this company to anyone in need of waterproofing services. They truly deserve 5 stars!"

"I had OBA install outdoor french drains and new downspouts a couple of years before they waterproofed my basement. They were the only company I could find who did it all. Basement waterproofing included removing old, putting in new: full inside perimeter drainage, enlarge sump pit, 2 sump pumps, I-beams and carbon fiber straps. Added in brand new: battery backup for sump and vapor barrier on most affected wall. When my basement got wet a year later after the work was done, they didn't hesitate to schedule someone to inspect. If was heavy condensation, barely a thin puddle compared to 2 inches of flowing water. They had to rework a 6 ft section and add cement around the I-beams, each on their own call outs. They didn't charge because I have a lifetime warranty, transferable to the next owner. I'll be working with them again soon for a professional level dehumidifier."

"They fixed the leak and put in a sump pump and water trench. The basement leaked 2 more times afterwards, but they returned to correct it right away. We were responsible all 3 times to repair the drywall and wood landing at the bottom of the stairs,so I called saying that I should not have to keep fixing those thing over and over. The CEO of the company called back and came out to the house himself to inspect. He had his people come out to the house again to do more that he felt would fix the problem for good, as well fixing the drywall and landing at no cost. It was a frustrating experience, but this company and it's CEO stood by thier work and made it right. I would use them again."

"Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value I took multiple bids on my basement project across basement companies in Columbus. Mid state basement systems had the best and most fair pricing. They did not use any scare tactics and were upfront and honest. They were also the only company to use a laser level and show me the sag difference in my joists that I was experiencing. I hired mid-state basement systems to do crawl space support and repair on my load bearing wall in my basement. MY PROBLEM WAS UNIQUE AS LOAD BEARING WALLS NORMALLY DO NOT NEED TO BE REPAIRED LIKE THIS! At first, it was not level upon completion (BARELY 1/8 INCH OFF) in ONE spot and I let my sales rep Jiovanni know. the team came back out within 48 hrs and adjusted everything and let me take a look at it. They did a fantastic job. The installation crew even wiped down my floors for me after they were done! They were so polite, and respectful and made sure there was no damage to anything as they were moving steel beams to my basement ( my fridge was an object in the way to the basement door ) Do not let competitors make you question the validity of this business. they were fantastic. Rating of sales 5/5 Rating of the installation crew 5/5 Rating of management 5/5 Rating of mid-state as a company : 10/5 I do not believe I would have received this level of responsiveness of any of the competitors. I would choose mid-state basements for any basement project I had. Please use my review to know that mid-state basement systems will do the job the right way and how you need it to be done. In my experience, they offer the most fair pricing."

"Erie Homes completed a basement waterproofing for us on 11/20/23. We were impressed and pleased by the professionalism and communication at every phase of the project. Brandon expertly explained the Erie Homes waterproofing system, sump pumps, materials, and warranty and provided us with a quote and pricing details. Having being burned by projects in the past, we came back with a long list of questions and conditions. Brandon answered every single one, made sure that we were completely satisfied with the terms, and added our notes to the contract. Project manager Gage and the team that came to our home was quick and professional. They periodically filled us in on the progress and communicated any changes or concerns. When the project was completed, they walked us through and made sure we were happy with the work before leaving. Since finishing, we have had several rainy weeks and a completely dry basement. Based on the product, work, and customer service, we will be highly recommending Erie Homes to anyone needing basement or waterproofing work."

Basement Waterproofing questions, answered by experts

Springfield homeowners should account for the area’s expansive clay soil, which can cause shifting foundations, and higher water tables near creeks. Seasonal rainfall and freeze-thaw cycles increase the risk of basement leaks. Some neighborhoods have HOA restrictions, and older homes may require tailored solutions. Before starting, confirm there are no builder warranties in newer subdivisions and always check for underground utilities to avoid accidental damage.

Helpful?

Basement waterproofing in Springfield typically takes one to three days for interior sealing or sump pump installation, while comprehensive exterior drainage systems may require up to three weeks. Timelines can be extended by wet weather, the need for specialized equipment to address clay soil, and permit processing. Homeowners should also plan for possible delays during Springfield’s rainy spring season, which can impact project scheduling.

Helpful?

Delaying basement waterproofing in Springfield can result in rapid foundation deterioration, bowing walls, and rotting floor joists due to persistent moisture and freeze-thaw cycles. Mold growth and declining indoor air quality become significant health concerns, especially for allergy sufferers. Minor leaks can escalate into major repairs, and unresolved water issues often reduce home value in Springfield’s competitive real estate market.

Helpful?

Basement waterproofing in Springfield is designed to prevent water intrusion caused by hydrostatic pressure from clay soil, inadequate surface drainage, and elevated groundwater near local waterways. This work helps protect against mold, mildew, musty odors, and structural damage to foundations and floor joists. Addressing these issues is essential for maintaining a dry, healthy, and structurally sound basement in Springfield homes.

Helpful?

In Springfield, the best materials for basement waterproofing include flexible polymer-based sealants for masonry, moisture-resistant waterproof coatings, and high-capacity sump pump systems designed for clay-heavy soil. For exterior protection, rubberized membranes and perforated drainage tiles are highly effective. Using locally sourced limestone or gravel for drainage improves moisture control and supports foundation repair, especially during Springfield’s frequent rainstorms and seasonal water table changes.
