The work was completed on time and the quality is excellent. The attention to detail is outstanding and they cleaned up each day when they were done. "Tom was hard-working, meticulous, and polite throughout the long process of renovating a section of our basement. Sometimes working with an assistant, he repaired walls that had been damaged by water. He removed a shelf and some unnecessary trim that had been attached to walls, then repaired areas underneath. He scraped and removed paint from existing walls (including several types of wall material -- drywall and exposed stone), woodwork, etc. He cleaned and painted four window well areas which had been covered with years of grime and debris. He carefully painted ceiling, which consisted of many exposed pipes, valves and fixtures, using a dark brown paint in order to camouflage those previously very visible and ugly features.  He repaired drywall in many areas of both rooms. He painted the walls, the trim, the doors, the stairwell, and the stairs."

"The service went well. They were running late, and they called and told me they were running a late. They asked if they could arrive a half hour late. I said yes, and they did so. They removed and disposed of the insulation. They also cleaned the mold from the wood and walls. And they set off an air based mold killing product too kill anything they could not see or reach. So far, so good."

"I cannot adequately describe how great our experience was with Uptown Painting. Dave and his crew did an excellent job from start to finish. We had all of the challenges; high ceilings, different colors of paint, extensive trim painted with oil based paint, furniture, mostly hardwood floors, plants and many windows. They carefully protected everything which at times took a considerable amount of time. They were very careful throughout the entire project to make sure they didn't damage anything. Anyone who has hardwood floors knows that you have to be extremely careful not to damage or scratch the floors. Every day Dave discussed the plans for that day. "Noel and his team were on time and did what they quoted. The blower door test revealed that the indirect lighting cans in the second floor ceiling needed to be sealed, which was taken care of. My only complaint is lack of care when handling the insulation, leaving a few messes. Loose insulation spilled around the attic hatch inside our linen closet was not cleaned up. Also, when I turned on the air conditioning for the first time after the insulation work was done, some loose insulation was blown out of one of the diffusers in the second floor ceiling. This was not serious, just annoying. Adding insulation greatly improved the heat balance in my house. Before insulating, the upstairs would be 3 degrees colder than the first floor. After insulating, both areas are the same temperature. During the Summer months, the upstairs stays cooler longer."
