"Chronologically speaking:

1)  I called Chris and he took my call (no voicemail, no waiting,... perfect).
2)  I was able to set up an appointment for Chris to come out and provide me an estimate at a time that was convenient for me.
3)  Chris showed up on time and provided a fair estimate.
4)  We set a date for the work.
5)  On the day of the job, Chris called before he came to let me know when he would arrive and he showed up on time.
6)  Chris and his help went right to work and completed the job in 3 1/2 hours.
7)  The job was done expertly and artistically.  I was (and still am) amazed at how well it looked.
8)  They cleaned up their work area.

Chris was very professional and friendly.  Based on the experience I had with Artistic Drywall, I will most likely use their services again and I would strongly recommend them for drywall and ceiling repair."

"Jose did an amazing job repairing drywall that I thought would need replaced. The installation and finishing of new drywall as well was done quickly and professionally. He was able to smooth out damaged walls and textured ceilings with exquisite detail which saved me a lot of money and time from not having to buy and replace drywall needlessly. The cost was reasonable for the high quality of the work and the time it took to complete."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

You should wait at least 24 hours for drywall mud to dry before sanding or applying another coat. However, the exact drying time depends on several factors, including the thickness of the application, room temperature, humidity, and the type of compound used. Thicker layers, or projects in high humidity, may require 48 hours or more. Lightweight compounds tend to dry faster than heavier, all-purpose ones. You'll know the mud is ready when it feels completely dry and firm to the touch and has changed to a consistent light color. Sanding too early can cause smudging or gouges, so patience is essential for a smooth finish.

Metal corners, often referred to as corner beads for square corners, are used on drywall installations to provide structural reinforcement to vulnerable outside corners. Their usage safeguards against chipping, denting, or other forms of damage, enhancing the overall durability of the wall. Metal corners also offer a precise and straight edge that facilitates sharp and clean lines, crucial for achieving a polished and professional finish.

While it’s most common to sand plaster dry, it is possible to wet-sand plaster, too. Doing so can reduce the amount of plaster dust released into the air and make it easier to work in smaller, more delicate areas (such as around wall trim). However, some people find that wet sanding leads to more imperfections, which is why larger walls are more often dry sanded to ensure an even finish.

Costs depend on damage extent of damage, labor, finishing, and whether mold remediation is needed.

Wall anchors are suitable for drywall and plaster walls, which are common in most homes. However, different wall materials may require specialized anchors. For concrete or masonry walls, you'd typically use concrete anchors. When dealing with other wall types, such as brick or tile, specific anchors designed for those materials may be necessary. Always consult with a hardware specialist or check the manufacturer's recommendations to ensure you select the appropriate anchors for your specific wall type.
