"They are very professional, showed up on time & stayed late to complete project. They paid attention to details & kept project within estimate. Were respectful of property & cleaned up site beautifully. Walls came out so much better than I expected. Will be contacting them in the spring for another project."

"A little confusion with billing but we got it figured out. A little more expensive than I thought it should be. Good customer service, quick professional installation. I would buy from them again."

"I had a great experience with this contractor. I needed a quote on many projects and they were very versitile. I ended up only needing them for a painting project, but they did a great job, no hassle, they were the first and just about the only one who responded to my request on H.A. The price was very fair and the quality and efficiency of the work was greater than my expectations. I will continue to use this company in the future."

"Premier Granite did a remarkable job. Their customer service and quality of work was exceptionable. We had a complex layout and researched/reviewed with numerous granite contractors and Premier not only came back with the best plan, but delivered in every aspect from a quality, scheduling and workmanship standpoint. The even came back to replace a section of backsplash which they were not pleased with, but looked perfectly fine as initially installed. I would not use anyone other than Premier if installing granite in the future."

"I highly recommend Tonys Tile and Flooring. Tony installed tile that I already owned and gave me great advice for picking out the new tile as well as grout. He was accommodating to my schedule and did a beautiful job installing tile in an entryway, a hallway, and a kitchen. Very high-quality work. My floors look beautiful and I have already recommended him to family members for repair and remodeling projects."

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

Tile shouldn’t be set tight against the tub. Bathtubs can expand when filled, and they can shift slightly with the weight of occupants. For this reason, it’s important to leave a slight gap between the bathtub and the first row of tile. Aim for a narrow gap of approximately 1/16 of an inch, filled with caulk, to allow for this expansion and movement while still allowing for tile shower waterproofing.

Different types of tile cutters may work best depending on the type of tile you are cutting and the size of your project. There are two main types of tile cutters: manual and electric. Manual tile cutters are quick and easy to use for small projects and softer tile materials, but they can only make straight cuts. Electric tile cutters make light work of big projects and can cut through harder materials.

Yes. You can tile over tile if the old tile is in good shape, but this will also create a thicker floor. As a result, you may have to remove and readjust baseboards and other room trimmings and potentially even raise door heights to work with the higher floors. In most projects, it’s best to remove the old tile before installing a new tile floor.

In some cases, granite tiles can be installed over existing flooring if the surface is level, stable, and free of moisture issues. However, removing old flooring is often recommended to ensure a secure and long-lasting installation, as well as to avoid height differences at thresholds. Consult with your flooring pro to determine the best approach based on your specific situation.

Yes, even if you’re being careful, removing tile can damage your drywall to some degree. However, you can minimize the damage done to it by eliminating a majority of the grout and taking your time prying each tile off. Also, it's worth noting that you might have more drywall damages to deal with if your tile is set into the mortar.
