Hoehn Contracting LLC
5.0
It went AMAZING! I had been stressing out about my septic tank and it's issues for awhile before deciding I needed to finally figure out what was going on. Paul came out on a Tuesday to assess the situation and spent a good amount of time determining the best course of action. Him and another guy started on that Thursday!!! That is incredible! When you have these kinds of problems, you're ready for them to just be solved, and Hoehn contracting did just that! They came out and worked really hard to get my septic system functioning at it's optimal ability again. AND, they did it within a day! They were also friendly and professional, and definitely competitively priced! I would call them again in an instant if I ever needed to. It felt like he really cared and wanted to do the right thing, instead of a lot of other companies who are just trying to make the biggest profit. I really appreciated that. My septic is up and running like brand new

The scheduling was easy and the expected charge was revealed at that time. The serviceman (Josh) called in advance and arrived exactly on time. He was completely COVID compliant, we never had to ask, and never felt at risk. He was very neat, friendly and knowledgeable, and did a quick and efficient job. He asked if we had questions as he was working (we did) he answered them fully and explained everything completely. He cleaned up anything that he had moved and left everything tidy. Very neat job. There were no surprise charges. I'm a very happy customer

Halpin Plumbing Inc

I have been experiencing a strong sewer smell outside my home for months. I've had several other plumbers out, but none of them resolved the issue. After explaining this to Halpins, they sent 3 specialists to my home who inspected and repaired my septic tank lid and rooftop venting. So far, I haven't noticed that awful smell. They were very knowledgeable and seemed genuinely interested in solving my problem. Also, they arrived early for the appointment

They were an A+ provider to work with. They worked so hard, built a custom ladder to get down into the cistern to what was a carpet of like 6" of tree roots. They were the most awesome group of guys, had a great work ethic and cleaned up well after themselves.

Kemphaus Water Solutions LLC
5.0
It went fantastic! I could not have asked for a better company to work with than Kemphaus! Based on our limited knowledge of the area, we first had a large name plumbing company (who I shall not name) come out to take a look. They quoted us over $5,000 just to the absolute basic work (of reattaching the main drain to the septic tank) required to fix the problem. We ended up calling around, and found Kemphaus. After calling, they were out to take a look very quickly—based all around our schedule. After evaluating the situation for free, they were able to identify the issue. Ralph was honest about the amount of work needed, and to do more than the big name company, he quoted us 1/3 of the price! Once we agreed, they began work immediately. They fixed the issue, but also saw were we had a continued problem needing addressed. They spend over two days out here to fix the issue, and did a considerable amount of work. After all was said and done, the final bill for both issues was half the price of what the other guys had quoted us just for a simple fix! They went above and beyond to ensure we were not ripped off, and had quality work done. They had us come look at each thing they were doing and explain it to us so we could see the issue ourself! Ralph and his guys were quick, professional, nice, honest, and did minimal damage to my yard! We will DEFINITELY be calling them for all of our plumbing needs in the future

"The County Board of Health inspects out septic system every year. This was our first year as owners of this house, and we received a report that the septic system needed pumping. A neighbor recommended Saving Liquid Waste. I called and made an appointment within a few days of my call. I was called before they arrived, and they arrived within the time window set for the appointment. They took a good amount of time pumping several tanks. Sometimes I thought they were finished with a tank, but they would continue pumping. All my questions were answered. It started to rain, but the work continued. There was no rush to finish. The County did a second inspection, and everything was satisfactory. A young man was getting on the job training in pumping septic systems, and I, as a teacher, thought the man/owner was doing a good job of training the young man. The owner called me after he got back to the office with a filter number for an air filter that needed replacing on the motor that pumps air into the system. It was cheaper for me to do the simple replacement that was less than $7.

"Alex Lockstead of Eaton Inspections came highly recommended from a family friend and proved to be the best professional decision we made in our home buying process. Alex is extremely responsive and easy to work with, but more importantly he is incredibly meticulous and skilled at his craft. The quality, thoroughness, and detail of his inspection and corresponding documentation was absolutely astounding. We inspected two different homes with Alex, and both realtors commented to us how markedly better Alex's work and process was than others they regularly work with in their careers. The peace of mind afforded with Alex is worth every cent. He saved us from buying what would have been a financial nightmare of a home. When we found our second home during the Covid pandemic, we knew we wanted no one but Alex to inspect it, and literally wrote our inspection period terms around his schedule. Alex worked with us to safely inspect it and was extremely respectful and sensitive of the homeowner's safety and comfort. Alex delivered his impeccably detailed report and made time to host a debrief call and was available with follow up calls and texts as needed to help us assess our home. You can't put a price on having someone you can trust as you make the biggest financial decision of your life, but you can choose Alex at Eaton Inspections and that is pretty darn close!

"Ralph Kemphaus responded promptly to my phone request to examine the broken line and explained the steps required to replace the line. He outlined where the landscape would be dug up to place the new pipe and to minimize the disruption to existing bushes and trees. He was confident that the yard would be restored to its normal condition. He was true to his word. His quote for the job was very fair, and better than other prices I received. He and his team of professional workers performed the installation exactly as planned. They completed the task in less than two days and the sewer works well even in heavy rain. The landscape looks great. I strongly recommend Ralph Kemphaus and his workers and was very impressed with their courtesy, professionalism, and work ethic.

Replacing a drain field requires digging up quite a bit of land and involves a decent amount of testing. Using this guide, you’ll learn how much it costs to replace a drain field based on a few key factors such as size and type of septic system.
Answer: There are several signs that indicate your septic tank could be full. These include standing water over your septic tank, a strong odor coming from your yard, gurgling water, slow drains, or a sewage backup. While many of these signs could also be indicative of a clogged system, they should all be checked out by a professional ASAP to avoid costly damages. In the absence of any of these signs, it’s recommended that septic tanks be emptied every 3 to 5 years on average.
How often should a septic tank be serviced?
Answer: On average, septic tanks should be serviced every 3 to 5 years in the absence of any worrying signs that the tank is clogged or full. The size of your septic tank, the number of people living in your home, and your average water usage will all impact how often your septic tank needs to be serviced.
What are the most common causes of septic tank failure?
Answer: The most common cause of septic tank failure is improper maintenance. Failing to pump a septic tank on the appropriate schedule will cause septic tank failure and likely result in a costly septic tank repair or replacement. On average, septic tanks should be pumped every 3 to 5 years, but the size of your tank, the number of people in your home, and your average water usage may shorten or extend this timeframe.
How much does it cost to pump a septic tank?
Answer: The cost to pump a septic tank is $400 on average or about $0.30 per gallon. The size of your septic tank, as well as local labor costs, will impact the cost of pumping your septic tank. Most septic tanks are between 600 and 2,000 gallons in size, meaning the average cost range is between $180 to $600.
How much does it cost to install a septic system?
Answer: The cost to install a septic tank system is between $3,060 and $9,810, on average. The size of the septic tank you choose, the land you’re installing it on, the type of system you choose, and local labor costs will all influence the total cost of installing a septic system. Anaerobic septic tanks (those that don’t need oxygen) typically cost between $3,000 and $8,000. Aerobic systems, which utilize oxygen to activate bacteria and are popular on smaller properties, usually cost between $10,000 and $20,000.
How long does a septic system last?
Answer: When septic systems are well maintained, they can last up to 30 years or more. If a septic system isn’t properly maintained, such as when it isn’t pumped regularly, it may malfunction and require costly repairs or a premature replacement. In general, septic tank pumping is recommended every 3 to 5 years to ensure the septic system lasts as long as possible.
