"Re-bath Over charged my parents at least $8,000 probably more for what should have been a simple Shower insert install. All the demo was done & the debris removed by other contractors. A shower insert (2) guys and a day of install time $14K but hey there is a lifetime warranty on the work. Buyer beware the sales people will rip you off if you let them."

"After 2 years, the tub began peeling in 5 places. Instead of offering to repair at no charge, he wanted $125 to repair the defects. The tub was out of warranty (warranty was only for one year). Lesson learned, find someone who gives a much longer warranty than Ohio Porcelain."

We do offer VA work and have special finance options other companies do not offer. You get a very hands on experience with us. We are a service an provider who specializes in acrylic tub and shower systems as well as walk in tubs. We provide free no obligation in home consultations with our experienced Design Specialists.

"We did not want a complete remodel of the two most used bathrooms in our home… just a refresh of the bathtub or shower in each one. After researching reviews on Angi and Google, we met with three bath remodelers. One remodeler, with national brand name recognition for one-day replacement, was much more expensive than the two local remodelers, which were close in quoted cost. We decided that JR Bath was the better fit for this smaller-scale project plus we liked their broader selection of materials, and the salesperson listened to our wants, without trying to upsell us. With two installers on-site, everything was completed in one day. The workers were professional, friendly in manner, and the quality of workmanship was excellent. A special showerhead for one bathroom was missing on the installation day but was immediately ordered and installed within two business days. For this type of shower/bathtub replacement project, we highly recommend using JR Bath."

Ohio Walk-in Showers, LLC is a small NE Ohio family run business, founded in 2005 by my father as Affordable Step In Showers. We started out by serving Cleveland and greater east side communities such as Euclid, Lyndhurst, Mayfield, Mentor, Solon, etc. But as word spread, we quickly had clients from Akron, Canton, Medina, Parma, Youngstown and western Pennsylvania requesting our services. Shortly afterwards my uncle from Sandusky was brought in to counsel clients in the Elyria, Lorain, Norwalk and Sandusky areas. Ohio Walk-in Showers prides itself in customer satisfaction and we do this by treating each client as though he or she were family. The person with whom you speak with will be there when your job is performed, so there will be no “he said/she said” conflicts. When you call, we don’t sell; we try and educate to make sure that you know what you’re getting (or not).

"I saw an ad for converting the bath tub to a shower by cutting the tub and placing a special insert where the cutout was, so you can simply step into the tub over about a 6 inch high step. This is the best alternative to spending $14,000 to have a walk in tub installed which would have required the bathroom to be torn apart and remodeled just to fit the walk in tub in. Thats a huge expense for anyone who is on a fixed income. We decided that the cutout would be the best way to get a shower without having to lift a foot over a 15 inch lip of the tub. We have a shower chair and that works well but for my better half raising her knees over the tub was very painful, since she has arthritis in her knees, and back. So I talked to Jim at Ohio Walk in Showers, and he explained the procedure about cutting the tub and installing a custom insert to allow stepping in easily. I sent a picture of the tub to Jim, so he could determine if it's steel, fiberglass, or cast iron. It turned out the tub is cast iron. Jim's son James came out to look at the tub, and showed us the inserts that they use. We decided to have the job done, and in a few days Jim, and his son came and prepared the bathroom for the work. I had everything removed from the bathroom per Jim's request because cast iron makes a mess with black powdery material, so they covered what needed covering, and put a fan in the window to move the dust and air outside, and began to cut the tub. The job took about 3 1/2 hours and they placed weights on the new insert to make sure it bonds properly and said we could use it in 24 to 48 hours. They were very professional, and cleaned the bathroom so you could not tell anything was done. We let the insert set up for 48 hours just to be sure it was ok then we were able to use the tub very easily. I firmly believe this method is the easiest, and best way for people with mobility issues who wish to step into the tub and take a shower.. Thank you Jim, and James, the job went better than we thought it would, especially for a cast iron tub."

"We had Imperial remodel our kitchen and attached bath in 2022. We had issues with Imperial throughout the project and we were never sure of costs or when things would be done. In fact, once the contract was signed Imperial rarely communicated with us unless we called them. Imperial is way understaffed. They had one guy working on multiple houses at the same time which meant our house was at a standstill while he was someplace else. My question is why do they only have one guy doing most of the work? Delays occurred when the shower door and vanity top had to be reordered a few times because the wrong size arrived and couldn’t be installed. I guess the third time is the charm. The under counter lights would not come on or we’d loose power in the kitchen. The baseboard heater in the bath didn’t work but instead of believing me when I complained I was told how highly rated the brand is. After complaining all winter it finally got fixed in the spring. They tried to substitute accessories we ordered in the showroom with different ones so we ended up purchasing some elsewhere at our expense. But the last straw is we did not receive the high end cabinets we paid for. There were issues with paint flaws, seams separating and wood cracking. Doors and cabinets had to be replaced. Recently two installers came out to replace a cabinet and put a long scratch in the floor. But instead of offering a solution for repairing the floor the owner denied responsibility. It pains me to write a negative review because we like the individual who did most of the work but we would not recommend using Imperial due to the issues we had with them."

"Consumer Alert!! Buyer beware!! This spring we hired Roofsmith to install a new roof on our building. A condition of the contract was the manufacturer would need to stop out to the job site to inspect and certify the installation in order to receive the warranty. Roofsmith never had the manufacture inspect and certify as promised. The roof leaked within a few weeks of installation. As a result, we started to increase the frequency and intensity in which we requested the roof to be properly certified. We received excuse after excuse with no action taken. We began to contact the manufacturer directly and we discovered that Roofsmith did not use the materials that we contracted to install. They pulled a classic bait and switch scam with inferior grade products. We are now in the process of litigation with Roofsmith because of their faulty workmanship, false claims and fraudelant acts. I would exercise extreme caution in dealing with this company is I have learned the principal owner has "

Bathtub Restoration questions, answered by experts

Most homeowners need to wait at least two days, sometimes three, to use their bathtub following the reglazing process. That’s the normal length of time it takes for epoxy resin to cure. There are quick-dry epoxy kits available that cure in 12 hours, though. To ensure that the epoxy dries properly, try to ventilate the bathroom as well as you can.

You're more likely to accidentally crack your plastic tub rather than successfully fixing a hole. You can fix hairline cracks and larger stress cracks with a plastic tub crack repair kit from a home improvement store. You'll need to clean out the tub, apply either the epoxy resin or filler putty compound into the crack, let it dry, and then sand it out.

Depending on your budget, you might consider a new tub as part of your bathroom remodel costs. It could be a good opportunity to update everything after considering all of the bathroom remodel ideas out there.

Bathtubs chip for a number of reasons. The primary cause is simply an accumulation of accidents or direct impact from objects over time. Heavy items will do this, like an iron, but so will lighter objects, like shampoo bottles, especially if you drop them from high enough.

When it comes to cleaning bathrooms, bleach usually comes to mind. But like ammonia, bleach can damage acrylic tubs. In fact, many tub manufacturers warn against using bleach on acrylic bathtubs, and doing so could void the warranty on your tub. Again, a gentler cleaner specifically made for acrylic tubs, or one of the homemade methods listed above, is your better bet here.

Reglazing a bathtub can last as few as three years and up to 15 years. With proper application, the recoated surface is as durable as a brand-new tub. Clean your tub properly and avoid using abrasive cleaners to maintain the coating. If the weather conditions were cold or humid during resurfacing or the tub was significantly damaged, the reglazing may not last as long.
