"Had no intention to do upgrade or remodel . The door bell ring and a young man introduced himself as Jean. Stated that his company was doing a bathroom upgrade across the street . He seemed so genuine we invited him inside to share with us his and ways his company Ark could help us. Our house was built in 1972 , so improvements were needed. We agreed with his proposal and we are very pleased. Ark replaced our old outdated bathroom and laundry room . It looks like a new addition . Jean was on site every day the was being performed. When the work was completed Jean stopped by to see if we’re satisfied"

He repaired the plumbing, put in a new subfloor and installed a walk in shower. He was a hard worker and answered any questions we had. Our bathroom looks beautiful! We are very happy. "Mose did a fantastic job. In 2017 I hired Mose to replace the rotten wood trim with Azec around seven windows and around the rear door of my house. Mose's work has stood the test of time. In 2019 his work remains looking excellent. Mose is very detailed-oriented. He even painted the Azec before installing it so it would match the paint on my house. I would highly recommend hiring Mose for your carpentry needs."

"I love the final result! During the planning phase, Bill and Eileen worked closely with me to find the best products to meet my desires and recommended several improvements that I would not have thought of. They suggested using a half-wall with an upper glass panel to create a more open feeling in the bathroom and provided easy access doors around the whirlpool tub. The planning process and the final result were better than the installation process. The work began in February and started off great. Workmen showed up when expected and carefully draped and covered areas to keep the surrounding areas as clean as possible. The initial tear-down and deconstruction went smoothly and the workmen were very quick and professional. However, once other subcontractors became involved, the process went downhill. Heritage Marble, which provided the cultured marble in the shower and around the tub, did not provide good service. They did not show up when expected and came on days when they were not scheduled. After arriving late, they would leave early. The custom floor is not completely non-skid and initially, they did not provide complete information about floor leveling requirements. The marble installation took much longer than expected. There was also mis-communications between the wall framers, the glass installers and the marble company which resulted in delays and in some work having to be redone. Additionally, Custom Home Works didn't verify the quality of the subcontractors' work so both the electrician and the Custom Glass subcontractors had to be called back to correct problems (finish wiring the shower fan and replace the leaking shower door). When I identified problems to Custom Home Works, they were very diligent in getting the problems fixed and the work done correctly, but I thought they should have been the ones to identify these issues. Because of the problems with the subcontractors, the remodeling that should have been completed in six weeks took four months. Again, I am very, very pleased with the final results and credit Bill and Eileen for a great remodeling plan; however, I was disappointed that they didn't provide better oversight of their subcontractors. Because of this lack of oversight, I can't rate them as high as I would like to."

"Simon from Indianapolis took out my bathtub and put in a walk in shower. He did a great job. I love the finished work. What I didn’t like was the promise of a work crew and that the job would be finished in one day. Simon worked around 10 hours the first day and over 8 hours the second day. All by himself. I realize that people quit, etc but tell the truth. Don’t promise something you can’t deliver. I felt sorry for Simon having to drive to my house from Indianapolis. But he didn’t complain about it and did a great job."

"The tub is wonderful! Installation of the tub was ok except for the widening of the bathroom door. The door trim was wrong and the door itself was not straight. The threshold was not installed at all. Paid an additional $700 to get the door rehung."
