We are a family owned trash hauling and recycling company. Operating out of Franklin County, we currently serve 22 of Ohio's 88 Counties.

"We have utilize the service through both of our companies, personally and through our recycling company for almost a year. We have had trouble in the past with punctuality and communication but being they were priced right we took the good with the bad. Recently we had them at one of our personal property’s. Weeks after contacting them for pickup they finally sent someone out. I then received a call stating the truck was stuck. I left work and headed out to find the truck buried almost to the frame about 5 feet off of the driveway. The driver had tried to straddle the middle of the road and with the tires that were off of the road broke through a drain tile. Unsure of himself the driver had called his boss Darel to tell him he would be on able to pick up the load. Darel then asked to speak with the tow truck driver and asked the driver if he would winch the container across the property. The driver stated he would not do that because it would cause further damage to our property. When I spoke with Darel he stated “I do not plan on paying for that “and that “it was not a mailbox”. At that point I told Darel it was definitely not a mailbox and we would have to have a excavator to fix the problem. He told me he would come take a look when they came out to retrieve the dumpster and that he would try to do it personally. I was more than satisfied with this and working through the problem with Darel directly. Unfortunately several weeks went by and we had to contact another service to remove the dumpster. I have tried to contact pride hauling several times since then with no response. I don’t know where their pride lies but it is definitely not in their customer service or their company....They are cost effective but you will pay for the savings in a number of different ways!"

Garbage Collection questions, answered by experts

Garbage disposals are durable appliances that usually last at least eight years as long as you clean and maintain them. It’s relatively rare for a garbage disposal to break on its own, as most malfunctions happen due to user errors, like overstuffing the grinding compartment or damaging the blades by trying to dispose of metal or bone. Eventually, cracks or leaks could develop in the unit, which requires a full replacement.

Whether you choose to repair your garbage disposal will depend on the problem. For minor issues like a bad seal, you can fix the unit for less than $10. If the motor unit is broken, which can easily cost $150, you may want to consider replacing the entire disposal if it’s getting on in years.

Once you have your garbage disposal disconnected, you can remove the mounting bracket by unscrewing the bolts that are holding the bracket. You can back them out just enough to pop off the snap ring, which prevents the bottom portion of the bracket from disconnecting from the top when you unscrew the bolts. Use a regular screwdriver to pop off the snap ring, and the rest of the components should fall off by themselves.

Soil is just one of the items you shouldn't put down a garbage disposal. Garbage disposals are only meant for soft, non-fibrous foods. Large amounts of topsoil, dirt, or rocks will damage the blades of your garbage disposal or clog the pipes. If a small amount of dirt goes down the drain as you repot a plant, you shouldn't have to worry, but never dump a whole pot of soil in the sink for fast disposal.

If your garbage disposal powers up and you can hear it hum, but the arms inside aren’t moving, the problem might be a stubborn clog, a build-up of grease, or a jam of the impeller plate. To troubleshoot these, ensure your unit is off and disconnected from its power source before checking inside the drain or attempting to manually rotate the impeller arms or plate from the underside of the unit. A hex wrench can help.
