"Excellent company!! Tony, the owner, came out to do the estimate himself, and his professionalism and thoroughness in describing the work to be done (backyard drainage), and the benefits of using his company, ultimately won me over. The price was more than fair and his crew was top notch and completed the work on schedule. I highly recommend!!!"

Celebrating over 40 years in business! Harding Plumbing and Heating Co. was started in 1978, with over 60 years combined experience. We are a family owned & operated company, E.P.A. certified and fully insured. We offer fair pricing for excellent workmanship. We stand behind our work & business name. With 24 hour emergency service and 7 technicians we have the ability to complete large and small projects.

"Thanks to Harding we will not have to enter this years cold season without heat! We are in the process of buying an older house that still had its (almost) original boiler furnace. They were quick to get to our house (we live outside of the Perry area and they never hesitated on wanting to help us) to inspect and even send a second guy (SAME DAY!) to give us a pretty good quote. They were quick to schedule the complete install of our new unit and the guys who came and worked on it were amazing! So friendly and professional who made sure we had all of the questions we could think of answered before they left (they even took the ancient broken system with them.) They made sure to walk us through the upkeep once winter ends and double tested everything to make sure it was going to do what it was supposed to do! Now that we have our full unit replaced we can sleep peaceful (and toasty warm) this winter and for the winters to come. Gladly recommend these guys for any questions, repairs, or replacements!"

Barefoot Septic & Sewer, Inc. is a family owned and operated business. We were established in 1961 and incorporated in 1991. We are your expert problem solver for the septic and sewer industry in the western New York area, providing the know-how and technology to solve any septic or sewer emergency no matter how large or small. Our prompt, courteous and professional service teams tackle every job knowing that your satisfaction is our number one priority. From new septic and sewer systems to upgrading to repair and maintenance of older systems, we have over fifty years of well documented experience in being the most timely and most cost effective septic and sewer service around.

"This company came to service my septic tank and did not pump out the waste, only the water. This week my sewer line backed up and they refused to even come look without charging us money. I called Roto Rooter, and for free the looked at the tank and it was filled with years worth of sludge. Again we called and the company would take no responsibility for what they had done. Roto Rooter pumped the tanks and took out 800 gallons and 1200 gallons, as we have 2 tanks. I am so discouraged that a company would act this way and cause my family hardship. How can you refuse to even check the validity of our statements? I would NEVER recommend them and they should be ashamed of themselves."

Wells and Pumps questions, answered by experts

Consider replacement if the pump is over 10 years old or has recurring, costly issues.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends testing your well at least once a year to check for bacteria and contaminants. If you live in an area prone to flooding, runoff, or any other environmental concerns, it can be a good idea to check two to three times per year.

A well pressure tank is located between the well and the well pump, and it stores your water under pressure so that the well pump can eventually do its job. The well pump is activated whenever you turn a faucet on—it pulls the water from the tank into your home. Both are vital parts of a complete well water system.

A shallow-well pump can pull water up to 25 feet deep. A deep-well pump can pull water up to 90 feet deep. A deep-well submersible pump can pull water up to 300 feet deep. Make sure to consult a pro to find out how deep your well is and get the right pump for your needs.

A water pressure booster doesn't require special maintenance. Like any house system, inspections should be a regular part of your annual schedule. Check for leaks, faulty valves, pressure loss, and mineral build-up. Pressure loss could be a result of mineral build-up, and you can descale the system with a vinegar and water solution.
