We had a water issues in our basement for many years so I called several places to get a quote for the repair. Ron came and explained me clearly what's the issue was and offered much reasonable price for the repair than any other places. The day for the repair went smoothly. All the workers were professional and got their job done. This was done 2 years ago and I haven't see any water issues ever since. Ron is knowledgeable and easy to talk to, I would highly recommend this company to fix your water issues in a basement read less

I first hired Onondaga Chimney 16 years ago to have my chimney inspected on the home I purchased. On top of my annual chimney cleaning I have utilized them for a few major projects. They tore down and reassembled my 100+ year old chimney and did an amazing job. Just recently, I hired them to redo the steps leading up to the house (8 steps and a walkway) and rebuild a portion of a stone retaining wall. I am BEYOND pleased with the job they did! They even went above and beyond to repair my leaning mailbox and paint it as well. Troy, and his crew, are hard working masters of their craft. I highly recommend this company for your masonry needs read less
Elderly grandparents (90+ years old) were mistreated and taken advantage of. I do not recommend Onondaga Chimney and Masonry Services. Very disappointing and unprofessional service. Customer service/treatment was unsatisfactory as well. My 90 year old grandparents retained this company to redo their chimney from roofline to crown. Brickwork was acceptable; however, concrete crown was poorly installed and cracked within days of installation and reinstallation. Owner (Troy) blamed everything/everyone else but his own work and craftsmanship. Troy and his crew had to return twice to remove and reinstall the concrete crown but only after several calls and unprofessional conduct on owners part. As an example, told my elderly grandparents to "Shut up" when they tried to speak to him about their concerns with the cracks. I had to get involved and call him myself to resolve the issues. We agreed that he would contact me before returning for the reinstallation of the reinstallation; however, he failed to call (despite claiming he did) and then left a very unprofessional voicemail for me (which I have saved). Save yourself the hassle and inappropriate treatment; find a more competent, professional and respectful contractor when looking for Chimney work read less

There were several cracks and cap separations on our chimney allowing water inside the fireplace. They repaired the damaged areas, re-tarred the chimney to roof, swept and inspected the inside of the chimney. I feel the price they charged for the amount of work they did was a fair deal. They were prompt, had good people skills, and did a good job read less

Asked them to give me an estimate for a concrete top coat over crushed, compacted stone under my new shed. The owner was out the next day to estimate the work on my schedule. Surprisingly he told me that concrete would not work because over time the rocks would shift and the concrete would crack, it might take 5 years but I would hate the job. They suggested a pressure treated frame be constructed around the compacted stone to keep the stone from shifting and therefor keeping the shed level. The detail to work and the extra time they took to shore up the parts of the pad that were not level was a surpise. I watched as they labored to make sure it was level. They were able to add work to the project that I wanted after they had already started, the price difference was reasonable and done quickly with no argument. They arrived when they said they would, they told me it would take a day and a half and it did. The owner and his assistant are personal, agreeable and very easy to work with. When they left, I had no clean up to do. I would absolutely recommend them again. They are masons but I believe they can handle most projects in and around the house read less

Mr. Ferrarone's bid on our roof repair, backed up by a 3 year guarantee of his work, was considerably less than it would have cost to re-roof that section of our roof. Time will tell if his repairs do the trick, but we are hopeful that they will work, and appreciate his confidence to stand behind his work for 3 years. If the repairs hold up that long, by then perhaps by then we will be ready to re-roof. We appreciated his efforts and suggestions regarding repairing our front door step; for this, as with his other work, he stands behind the workmanship for 3 years. In replacing the rotting window sills on our dormers (something we weren't aware of when we initially contacted him about the roof), he was efficient & effective, using pressure treated wood to help resist rot in the future. If we could have gotten the work done a little sooner, that would have been even better; but I understand that contractors are a busy lot, especially towards the end of the outside home repair season. All in all, a positive, professional experience. (P.S. Two years out, all the work that Mr. Ferrarone did is holding up well. read less

David and all members of his crew were extremely professional and informative. The work was performed as described in the written estimate in the time frame proposed. Although the exterior cannot be painted until the spring so that mortar can cure, the work is professionally finished both inside and out. The work site was kept clean and free of debris and clutter, and now that I know that this company does more than just masonry, I'll be calling them first before any other major projects are undertaken on both my residence and one rental property. This company is a gem with old fashioned trustworthiness and professionalism read less

David Ferrarone was the best we could have hoped for. On time, reasonably priced, looked over the entire property and made us aware of problems we hadn't seen. Very informative about what needed repair and what didn't. Personable, no attitude. I wish his company did every type of work. We'd love to just use him for everything read less

Everything went very smoothly. Dave came out to the house promptly and gave a thorough, detailed analysis of the work that needed to be done as well as the underlying problems leading to the damage. He was able to start the work promptly. He and his associate worked very neatly, leaving he worksites tidy every evening. They were very efficient, accomplishing quite a bit over a short period. Dave was able to offer good, economical solutions to our drainage issue. They gave a lot of attention to detail, blending the repaired brickwork with the old, so that I can't even tell that work was done (other than for the fact that my bricks are no longer loose!). Overall, I couldn't be happier with the work, and I would not hesitate to use him again if the need arises read less
