"We really cannot give enough positive feedback about James Walsh and his very competent and pleasant crew! Our concrete front steps were in dire need of a facelift. We decided to add bluestone treads and brick risers. Our first dilemma was that the facade of our home was “used brick” and we weren’t sure how to match it as best as possible. James told us what to look for and sent us to his contact at a local brickyard to be sure we’d be satisfied with our choice. After selecting bricks, he sent us to another place to choose bluestone and pavers. He carefully explained all the choices we had for filling the “field” on the landing, i.e. whether to use thermal bluestone or pavers and the pluses and minuses of each. From there he helped us to change the design of our front walk (previously cement) and design a walkway in the back of our home from our deck to the driveway. James was fairly priced and accessible for questions before the job and as it proceeded. His crew showed up on time each day and worked carefully, neatly, and diligently. The job was completed on time and looked nicer than we could have anticipated. Our neighbors all came over to compliment the work. On top of everything, James has a great sense of humor and is delightful to work with. He is incredibly knowledgeable about his craft. We would not hesitate to recommend him and hire him again. "I've dealt with many landscapers in the past. The difference with Landscape Impressions was, Brian went out of his way to work with me (& my wife) to ensure we were comfortable with a budget and what could be done with it. Others would do a poor quality job for the same amount of money, or try to sell me something 5-10 times my budget. It was a bit tough to schedule them initially -- took about a year to coordinate -- but it was well worth the wait. We did not know what to do with the property, we just wanted to improve it. Brian was happy to provide several options and ideas, and I could tell from our initial conversations that he has experience, creativity, and knows what to plant in our area (shady, lots of deer, etc.). We now have a beautiful "spec garden" that takes advantage of the steep sloped, rocky & tree-trunk laden terrain. Although the budget I set was not enough to completely cover my property, Brian made sure I got the most value out of it, and his super-friendly crew did an excellent job of cleaning everything else up. "Alex and his crew were fantastic. They were on time, worked very hard and each day they left the site completely cleaned up, including the driveway where they mixed the concrete. They were complete professionals! I had a few small additional things I wanted him to do and he did them without any new charges. Prior to having Alex install the drains and do the other repairs we would always have water coming into our basement, sometimes substantial amounts of water. It has now been about a month since he did the job and we have had two big rain storms and our basement is completely dry thanks to Alex's great work. "We used Palmieri Landscaping to reblacktop our driveway.  Ralph, the foreman, was very easy to get a hold of and answered all of our questions.  He formulated a plan to put the blacktop down in a way that could ease waterflow into our drains.  The work was done fast and with great attention to detail.  I had a question about the work and Ralph came out the next day to see the issue and talk to me about it. VERY responsive employees and company.  It's always nice to find a contractor that actually calls you back AFTER the work is done.  The cost of this job was 1/2 of what another company had given me as an estimate.
Then, we hired them to do the spring cleanup of the yard and weekly maintenence.  The lawn never looked so good.  Their weekly cost was similar to other estimates.
