"The project went extremely well. I can’t say enough about the professionalism shown by James Walsh and his magnificent crew. I called for an estimate after reading all the glowing reviews on Angie’s List. The fact that my location was in Northern Westchester was not an issue. He was very accommodating. We spoke about what I wanted and the ideas I had and he offered his opinion and sometimes alternative suggestions based on his vast experience. Due to changes in the weather, the start date was delayed, but James kept in touch throughout. On the first day, he and his crew came out to inspect the site and take measurements. They also manually broke up the concrete walkway...with sledge hammers?. For the next three days after that, they were here every morning at 7:30 am. His crew was amazing. They and James all worked together like a well oiled machine..not wasting any time. Their craftsmanship was outstanding! You could see the respect that they had for each other. James was great at finding solutions to potential problems. With the driveway apron, there was an issue with the depth of buried Verizon cables. With no info from 811, Verizon, or the City, I was ready to give up on the project. James was very encouraging saying that they would go very slowly and carefully and make it work somehow. In the end, we had no problem with the installation and it turned out beautifully. In another instance, the stone yard did not have the pavers that I’d chosen for the walkway and James went with me to select a new paver, offering valuable advice about the preferred size and layout suitable for my space. We selected a 3 piece paver set that neither of us had intended and it looks fantastic. He discovered that, because of a height difference, we could not use the same pavers bordered by bluestone on the front door platform. We decided to just go with all bluestone on the platform to maintain a uniform height. After trying to brainstorm other options, James suggested a colored bluestone for the center. I was a little hesitant because I did not want the colors to clash. He reassured me that it was neutral enough to work. I trusted his judgement and it looks wonderful! James is a very trusting person. He asked for no money upfront or throughout the job...no 1/3 now, 1/3 halfway through, 1/3 at the end. With him it was simply he does what you ask him to do, and you pay him when he’s finished. That’s rare these days. There was no additional monies tacked on at the end of the job....even if he paid more for materials than anticipated. The costs were not passed on to the client. The job site was left immaculate. All debris was removed and even some that they didn’t generate! All in all, I would not hesitate to work with James and his crew again. They were very meticulous in every detail. You could see the pride that was taken in what they were doing. James is very lucky. He’s got one of the best crews around. At the end, he and I walked through to inspect each of the areas. James was very patient in answering all my questions and concerns. After that, it was “call me if there are any problems and I will come back and fix it” and they were gone. After having worked with James for a mere 4 days, I’m sure he meant it! You will not regret hiring Rock Solid General Contractors!"

"My driveway suffered some damage from the flooding, mainly cracking and undulations. I found Limitless on Angi. I booked an appointment easily and Christhian came when he said he would and was extremely polite. I thought I needed a new driveway and he explained that I would very easily be satisfied with only a resurfacing, which cost quite a bit less (though he was willing to do either). His quote was instant and fair (I checked online afterward to see what the range of cost was). His team came when they said they would; they were again very polite and EXTREMELY efficient. They were in and out in less than 3 hours. I have some sidewalk masonry planned and I will absolutely look to these guys first to do it."

"I've dealt with many landscapers in the past. The difference with Landscape Impressions was, Brian went out of his way to work with me (& my wife) to ensure we were comfortable with a budget and what could be done with it. Others would do a poor quality job for the same amount of money, or try to sell me something 5-10 times my budget. It was a bit tough to schedule them initially -- took about a year to coordinate -- but it was well worth the wait. We did not know what to do with the property, we just wanted to improve it. Brian was happy to provide several options and ideas, and I could tell from our initial conversations that he has experience, creativity, and knows what to plant in our area (shady, lots of deer, etc.). We now have a beautiful "spec garden" that takes advantage of the steep sloped, rocky & tree-trunk laden terrain. Although the budget I set was not enough to completely cover my property, Brian made sure I got the most value out of it, and his super-friendly crew did an excellent job of cleaning everything else up. He set us up for future work for when we are able to spend more on the property. Many compliments from the neighbors!"

"Willie from G&R Landscaping was very professional, and did an incredible job on my property. His attention to detail was like no other, and his work was exactly as we discussed. He installed a belgium block border on my driveway, and his work was extremely neat and clean. Willie also put top soil/seed in a section on my yard, and cleaned out brush and leaves behind my shed and completed everything perfectly. Willie is very responsive and willing to listen and give advice about anything landscape related. His price is very fair and he keeps the customer in mind throughout the whole job. "I cannot express enough praise and appreciation for a job well done. The front of my house now looks beautiful. After removing the old asphalt driveway and concrete walkway and stoops, pavers were installed on the driveway with a Belgian block apron as well as pavers on the walkway with a darker color border around both. Two concrete stoops and stairs were rebuilt, expanding one and topping both with blue stone on top and stone veneer on the sides. Each step of the way, from proposal to completion, Alex was helpful, pleasant, polite, knowledgeable, honest, fair with pricing and a great communicator.
