"All Trades Plumbing and Construction saved the day! We were mid project on two bathroom remodels when sadly our existing plumbers business folded. All Trades Plumbing was highly recommended to me from a friend and for a good reason! great communication, turn up when stated, outstanding quality of work and a follow up service like no other. Both bathrooms were finished to perfection. They also found time to install a new water heater and a full house filtration system. The quality of the plumbing was just outstanding. Being a contractor for 20 years i know good work/service when I see it. Definitely the best at what they do and top of their game. I Can’t say enough good things about them."

"CJM Plumbing has done more for us than just making a repair of a gas boiler pipe. They’ve updated the interior plumbing lines that connects to the incoming city water supply to make it more accessible and safer. They ran the gas lines for a gas fireplace, repaired a leak on the boiler, replaced and properly installed a toilet and two new bathroom faucets that a previous, more local plumber to our home installed wrong! They FOUND our exterior water control switch that was buried under 3-4 inches of asphalt, near the end of our driveway (that the previous owners had paved over while creating that driveway. They installed a new in-sink garbage disposal. Their office manager, Diane is fantastic! All the guy (Chris, the owner included!) have ALWAYS been very polite, courteous, respectful and informative. They explain whats going on, what they’re going to do and what you need to do to maintain (if necessary). GREAT STAFF!!! CJM is most DEF my go-to for any of our plumbing needs!"

"I had a plumbing leak since February 2024 whereas the leak was coming from my bathroom shower leaking into my kitchen, when I immediately contacted my home warranty American Shield, they never provided me with a Plumbing contractor. From February 22, 2024 until March 24, 2024, I continued to have leakage. American Home Shield then told me they had no contractors to assist me with my plumbing issues and therefore wanted me to identify a Plumbing contractor and then submit the diagnosis to them for review and approval. I then identified Royal Class Service and they diagnosed the leakage as a Shower Valve Replacement whereas they would need to open drywall from the closet to gain access for repair. The estimate from Royal Class was over $2,000.00. American Home Sheild then sent PROSERVICE HVAC & PLUMBING for a second option located in Connecticut. They stated that Royal Class inflated the cost repair and this Pro-Service Company was supposed now take over the repairs. I waited three more weeks because when I called Pro-Service requesting a date for repair they continuously told me they are waiting for valve they ordered from Home Depot. They are the worse!!! I'm Disabled and was out of my shower usage for three months. Well on a Thursday of early May, I happen to see Neighborhood Plumbing truck and contacted Anthony (contractor). Anthony came to home so professional and concerned to assist me with the well overdue plumbing issue and Neighborhood Plumbing repaired this in less than two hours at a price that was extremely fair and far more less than Royal Class quoted and five star professional than American Home Sheild and Pro-Service located in Connecticut. Please don't get taken by these companies. Anthony could have attempted to inflate his prices and robbed me like Royal Class attempted or he could have never come back to repair just as Pro-Service did. But, Neighborhood Plumbing does not have professional integrity they get the job done at a cost that's not ROBBERY! I had a horrible experience with these former companies and I urge you to seek out Neighborhood Plumbing if you need Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Services. Thank you Neighborhood Plumbing,"

"Kevan (spelled with an "a") was the only plumber who even called me back the day after Christmas. All these other companies that advertise 24/7 & Holidays emergency service did not even answer the phone. We lost power and our pipes froze in super cold weather we had Christmas 2022. In 32 years my pipes never froze but they did this time and they burst in multiple locations. Kevin called and came out the same day and worked into the night replacing multiple ruptures. He is extremely courteous and professional and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM for any plumbing or water treatment needs. Ken H., New Paltz, NY."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Reject any quote that omits required permits or pressures you to waive local inspections. A contractor must provide a valid state license number for all plumbing work. Watch out for vague scopes that ignore lead service line assessments or backflow prevention in areas with combined sewers. Professionals must also demonstrate clear familiarity with Newburgh historic district regulations.

Helpful?

Delaying plumbing work allows aging cast iron and galvanized pipes to corrode, turning minor leaks into catastrophic failures. Postponing repairs on compromised pipes guarantees severe burst damage during Newburgh freezes. Ignoring a failing backflow preventer increases your risk of hazardous sewage backups during heavy rain. Furthermore, putting off water line assessments prolongs dangerous lead exposure in older homes.

Helpful?

Heavy rainfall overloads the combined sewer system in portions of the city, causing basement backups. During cold NY winters, pipes in exterior walls and unheated basements become highly vulnerable to freezing and bursting. The region also experiences severe freeze-thaw cycles that stress underground joints and exterior hose bibs. High summer humidity masks slow leaks, making early detection difficult.

Helpful?

Homeowners in Newburgh frequently bypass required permits for plumbing work, causing issues during inspections. Another frequent error involves upgrading fixtures without evaluating older galvanized steel or lead service lines first. You must insulate pipes in unheated spaces during renovations to prevent winter freeze damage. Always check local water pressure compatibility before installing new fixtures to avoid premature wear.

Helpful?

Older water service lines require frequent attention, as many New York properties still rely on original lead or galvanized steel pipes. Basement floor drains and sump pumps demand regular maintenance due to the hillside drainage patterns. You will also need to replace aging exterior hose bibs and cast iron drain systems, which suffer from root intrusion and freeze-thaw stress.
