Leonard explained the pros and cons of both, and I ended up getting the whole driveway resurfaced with the problem areas cut out, and repaired down to the dirt and rocks filled. They "shimmed" the areas that weren't level, then completely resurfaced my entire 7200 sqft driveway. The entire job was done in 2 days, and the project was scheduled 2 weeks from when I called to make the appointment. The driveway looks great, and is probably good for another 20 years. I highly recommend Wells Asphalt, and amglad to have supported a small, family-owned business."

"Frank and his crew were great! He gave us an estimate, showed up on the date scheduled with a full crew, and was finished in one day. He stayed on the job personally all day. Did a good job grading, laid a thick, sturdy base, and then a 3" compacted asphalt. Paid special attention to the edges. Driveway looks beautiful, and we've been happy. "We have a VERY long driveway and it has been gravel (barely) for the decade or so that we've owned the house. Started getting quotes for paving it, and was shocked that they were coming in at $3 per square foot (as a previous reviewer noted). From research, I knew it should be $2/sf, so we kept looking. Saw a beautiful newly-paved driveway nearby. That homeowner put us in touch with Rich Stanley, the third generation owner of this paving company. Rich came in at the right price and with a great can-do attitude. Took almost two full days to complete, but it is a work of great beauty. Smooth, wide, level -- our drive now looks like a gorgeous country lane. It was worth the wait to find the right company.  
Another reviewer was unhappy that Rich did not honor the 5% advertised discount. 5% of our bill would have been a lot of money, and since he was already giving us such a fair deal I didn't request that. What I did request was a couple of extras... a rounded turnaround instead of square.. a special "parking pad" for the trash cans... and another slight turnaround area to the side. Rich and crew happily accommodated.  A+ service.  Can't recommend them highly enough.

"The owner called me almost immediately after I placed the order for the special $99 rate and we set the appointment for 11 a.m.
this morning.  He called around 10:40 to apologize saying he was running later snd would arrive at 11:30 if that would be ok with me. He arrived on time and was very courteous.
The work I need done is repairing a brick driveway which needs segment of cement replaced and is an impossible job to estimate
but he told me of his hourly costs and, although the job will be expensive, I may cchoose him for the job.
In the meantime I am going to ask him to do a contained  area that he was able to describe in such a manner that even I could make an informed decision.
I was stunned by his rapid response and am very very happy with my Angie's list membershi
