"I needed stucco repair work on an old chimney (and other spots). Grady was meticulous and thoughtful on what approaches and materials would work. Throughout the project they allocated sufficient time for each treatment to cure and inspected the work before proceeding to the next step. Grady started the project with no money down and only required ongoing payments for materials until the project was well underway. The final payment was due only after they did a final inspection. Total project cost was also below other bids."

"Because the glass was the most expensive component in this major master bath renovation I quoted 4 different glass companies. The Glass Gallery was not the cheapest, but after extensive research on all 4, I decided to go with The Glass Gallery.  The deciding factor was the level of experience and expertise The Glass Gallery offered.  I talked with previous Glass Gallery customers and that sealed the deal.  Phil, the owner, gave excellent advice, but the technicians that did the installation were perhaps the most meticulous pair of employees I have ever seen.  I chatted with them, and learned that they had almost 20 years combined experience working for The Glass Gallery.  The results showed.  I am an anal retentive perfectionist - I checked out the gaps and seals with a my calipers (I am a mechanical engineer) and the installation was perfect.  The silicone caulking that "Jeff" did was precision - he fussed with it to perfection.  I only wish I could show pictures.
I only write reviews if I love you or hate you.  I obviously love The Glass Gallery.  Don't go anywhere else.

Glass Block questions, answered by experts

Yes, professionals can install decorative or colored glass block patterns for a unique look.

Glass block windows aren’t fire hazards; fire-rated glass block windows can increase your home’s fire safety. Modern glass blocks are made with materials that can resist high temperatures and prevent fire spread. Most offer a 45-minute fire rating, while some increase it to two hours. Compared to the typical 20 to 90 minute rating for a double-pane window, glass block can increase your home’s safety in the event of a fire.

Although glass block windows are made of multiple layers of thick glass, they can still break. If an individual block shatters, it can be removed and replaced, but this is a job for a window repair professional. The project is often complex and may require breaking the block further for removal. Do not attempt to handle it yourself, as the broken glass can be dangerously sharp. A professional will have the necessary tools and expertise to replace the broken glass block quickly and safely. Before hiring, confirm that the repair pro has experience with this specific type of window.

Glass walls are more expensive overall than their brick or drywall counterparts. However, if you need walls for a building with more than two or three stories, glass walls are the more budget-friendly option.

Luckily, glass block windows need minimal maintenance. Other than regular cleaning, the only maintenance involved in having a glass block window is inspecting for cracks every year and applying sealer to the mortar joints if the blocks are set in masonry mortar. Glass block windows hold up well against wind and moisture better than traditional windows and are not prone to rot.
