Steve K. from wonder windows was awesome. He came for my final measurements and was so friendly and professional. Answered all my questions, and put all window treatments back as there were before leaving. Thanks again Steve!

The sales person from Wonder Windows explained that the estimate was comprised of 30% materials 25% markup, and 45% labor (this was after a discount). The labor budget allotted for 108 hours to be used for the install purposes which made sense to for a completely finished product, but that was not delivered. The install itself of 13 windows and a storm door was comprised of 2 people for 3 six hour days, then due to the company’s errors a second install was performed of 2 people for one 4 hour day. There were an additional two hours spent in other work such as measuring and some error corrections. The total hours spent on the project was 30 person hours out of the 108 hours originally budgeted for the project. This means a total project overcharge of 33%. A 30% upcharge is acceptable for a close to perfect finished product and experience, however these are the factors that go into dissatisfaction: • The project was promised to be performed within 45 days and was not “finished” until 8 months later • The trim and bay window was promised to be white and finished, the result is unfinished with caulk everywhere • The newly installed Okna windows form ice on them and some are drafty • The slide window that was installed is extremely difficult to open • The storm door was installed upside down which causes it to not function as it was intended. A field fix was performed which switched the panels on the storm door which allowed it to function, but the track is still upside down. TL;DR – Poor service, poor product quality for the price, and unwilling to take ownership of what the sales person promised.

I had a great experience working with Wonder Windows to upgrade 2 sliding glass door in my home. I did a lot of shopping around and they had the best quality at the best price. The installation was smooth and the sliding glass doors not only added great style, but added a great sound barrier, and security to our home as well. After having the doors installed our dogs put a hole in the screen and Mark was amazing and replace the screen for us. For price, quality, and service I highly recommend.

This company does not stock the necessary materials to complete scheduled work. The installer planned to replace my 1st floor windows on day one but could not finish the trim work because he could not get enough quarter round to finish the job. He he told me he would get to the wear-house early the following day so it doesn’t happen again. On day 2 he arrived with a plastic shopping bag less than half full of insulation and said that was all they had. He could not complete the 2nd floor instillation that day because he ran out of insulation. On day 3 he removed the old slider and brought in the new door. It wasn’t what I ordered. He said he knew that when he picked it up, but was told by the supervisor to install it and they would switch it out later. The following day they installed the exterior window trim and ran out of aluminum. One window in missing the top strip and the last window was left completely undone. The side strips to the window and the installer’s cap were left next to the house. They never returned to complete the job. The window that is 3/4 complete leaks. Water runs into my house when it rains, or when the snow melts. They came yesterday to finish the window trim and recaulk the leaking window as well as to install the new door panels. The window work was not completed because the repair men did not want to climb a ladder when it wasn’t snowing. The new doors were not adjusted and are very difficult to open and close. The screen door was installed incorrectly. It doesn’t line up with the wall track and therefore cannot be closed. This process has taken 7 MONTHS! If they don’t want to work in the snow, they should have finished the job in the summer or fall. This company is a disaster. The right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing. There is no quality control.

"Hi [Member Name Removed], thank you for leaving feedback here for us to improve from. I'm glad that we were able to address all of your requests throughout the project so that your family was ultimately happy with our work. We strive to have all of the materials for each day's job on site along with a backup driver to bring extra materials from either of our two warehouses. We unfortunately were not successful in this case as you noted, however we always "make it right" and feel that you will be satisfied for years to come. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you need any future service."

We could not be happier with the job that Andy and Jesse did with the window replacements. The quality of the product and the professional manner of installation was suburb, the project was done in very timely fashion, there was minimal disruption, and the clean-up was complete. We are very happy we selected Comfort Windows, and we would certainly recommend then to others

A truly exceptional job by Wonder Windows, we could not be me pleased with all of our new windows. The entire process was smooth and easy, and each team member we dealt with was beyond professional, courteous and kind. I was kind of shocked when only one person showed up on installation day, but Brian proved to be an expert at replacing windows. He kept me informed throughout the entire process, and even gave me a few trim options for the outside before putting the casing around the windows. The windows (Okna 500 Deluxe) are very high quality, and have already provided a noticeable improvement in keeping the warm air in and the cold air out. The transformation our kitchen has undergone with the new awning window over the sink is remarkable, doing dishes is barely a chore now! I will be looking to hire Wonder Windows again in the near future to replace the three large casement windows we opted not to do this time around. The service and quality, for the price, cannot be beat in my mind.

So, when you buy a new house and are hiring a company to cut two gaping holes in your walls to install windows, you are going to be more than a little nervous. We had four estimates done, ranging from Lowes to Braymiller and went with Wonder Windows and it was exactly the right move. Other sales people expected us to sit through an hour-long Power Point presentation about the company. Bob talked to us about what we wanted, shared some useful window wisdom, gave us a swift estimate, and invited us to hear him play guitar that night (we went). They came in at lower cost than anyone and the windows are awesome good looking and tight as a drum against the cold. The crew that did the installation, also awesome. They did two big windows in two days, with it snowing outside, and we didn't have either a freezing house or a mess to clean afterwards. They were great. Go with these folks. You'll be happy.

The quality of the work was great. Inatsllation went quickly. The bad parts were with the office and scheduling. We had our quote and paid half up front. We set up our measurement with them for a few days later. This date was confirmed and written on our quote. That day went by with no measurement or contact. I had called them and they had no record of an appointment being set up. We were quoted 6-8 weeks for installation and were told that they would call when our windows were in. 8 weeks later, I had heard nothing from them so I called to see what was going on. They told me that they had called me once 3 weeks ago (though I had no missed calls or voicemails) and that I didn't answer. With no apology, they said they were 4 weeks out at this point. This was unacceptable as the time quoted had already passed with no contact from them and this was only 3 windows, so wouldn't take very long. I was eventually able to get them installed 2 weeks later after a few phone calls. It's a shame really because the people who I dealt with during the quote and install were professional but the office seems to be in disarray. I felt as if because my order was smaller they didn't care as much about my satisfaction.

THE GOOD: Really NICE windows that glide on ball bearings, making it very easy to open and close them. From the street, they look really good and are just as handsome from the inside. I had serious issues concerns about the installation, and sent an email with pictures that same night (it was a Friday). Also called the salesman Monday morning. Got a call from "Matt" Monday afternoon, and he was here on Tuesday to look at the work that had been done. He agreed that it needed to be re-worked, and that was scheduled for the following week (today) almost 2 weeks after the initial installation. Responsiveness to my concerns was excellent. ..........  THE BAD: Installer arrived a half hour late and not more than 5 minutes out of his vehicle started telling me about his troubles with his girlfriend, her kids and cats, and how he took the DVR back to Spectrum to save $10 a month. Mistook his job for Facebook, apparently. Installer was a smoker so, with no windows in the house, cigarette smoke wafted inside and permeated my house. ..........  THE UGLY: The installer took a sawz-all and cut the center post out of the old casement frame, and installed the new windows inside the old 40 year old frame (the one with rotting wood). The trim was placed in such a way that the remnants of that cut post were exposed and extremely unsightly. Externally, there was no rhyme or reason to where he did or did not caulk. On one window he caulked the top but not the bottom, on another just the opposite. Standing outside and looking up, the old, dried up, cracked and falling apart caulk from the old windows is visible. If you've got the caulk gun out, why not just caulk all the way around anyway? One window at ground level was caulked at the top and, at one corner, the caulk was glopped on and smeared so badly it looked like a 5 year old had been out there finger painting. There was a hole at the bottom of one of the windows that wasn't there before - presumably, when the old windows came out of the ROTTING frame, some rot that was sitting there was loosened and came out. That hole was partially caulked, but not filled or otherwise left in a condition that would do anything other than contribute to more rapid rot. After I called the company and complained, and after someone came out and looked (and took pictures), an appointment was set up for the following week to fix this mess. On the day they were supposed to be here to resolve this issue, I waited an hour past the time I was told they would be here and call the company to find out what was going on. It turned out they had me down for two weeks LATER, which would have put it at a month after the install, and the middle of November (in western NY where average high temps this time of year are only the mid-40s). The later in the month we go, the colder it gets and my house will be wide open, with no windows during this time? No way I would have agreed to this when they originally called for the appointment to fix this mess. Sara (service department) put me on hold for a few minutes, then came back on to tell me that she had spoken with the manager and that they agreed to have someone come out on Saturday between 9 and 10 to do the work, even though they don't work on Saturday. I said, great, let's do it. On Saturday, I AGAIN crated my animals and waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And, nobody showed up. Again. No phone call. Nothing. I called a couple of neighbors to ask them to note that I was home so that Wonder Windows couldn't say I wasn't, or something along those lines. At 11:30 I got a call from the installer telling me they were on their way. Unfortunately, by this time, I was already pretty upset so I yelled at the poor guy. I felt bad afterward, so I called him back and apologized, explaining that I was frustrated and that I knew he was just the poor schmuck they had coming to fix the job. My problem isn't with him.   Finally, after all of this, the installation screw ups were repaired or “camouflaged” in such a way that it looked AMAZING. Unfortunately, though, I won’t ever be calling Wonder Windows to do the remaining 13 windows that need replacement. Once bitten….

May 22, 2017 Wonder Windows 634 South Ave. Rochester, NY 14620 Dear People: I am writing to commend to you the presentation, products, crew and workmanship of our recently-completed home window replacement project by Wonder Windows. We were originally referred to you by our neighbors at Silver Lake, NY, Patrick & Julie Bausch, 4112 Lakeside Ave., Silver Lake, NY 14549, on whose home you did a window replacement project, a few years ago. First, let me say that your Sales Representative, Michael Whaley, was very thorough in his demonstration and explanation of the features of the OKNA windows. From the beginning of his presentation, we were impressed with his understanding of the product, thorough discussion of its operation, and we were very pleased when he got to the price for our project. We are also very pleased with the products; triple-pane windows by OKNA, replacement shutters, replacement gable vents and replacement rear entry door. We are already appreciating the heat-deflecting effect of the low-E glass in the window units. The “new” appearance of our home, at each window, is pleasing, and it blends in well with our existing exterior siding and trim and our interior paint schemes. Most importantly, however, I want to take this opportunity to say that we were extremely impressed with your crew, Bill Sr. & Bill Jr. Quagiata, assisted on one day by Scotty & Paul. The Quagliatas were very professional; on-time, careful and thorough in their work and very accommodating to our questions and concerns, throughout the project. They were all meticulous in their workmanship, especially when some of the prescribed (20+) openings in our thirty-seven year old home had deteriorated, or weren’t quite “square”. Each of these very competent professionals went out of his way to ensure that everything was done perfectly. Throughout the four-day job, it seemed to us that were they handling our project as they might if they were actually working on their own homes. In summary, we are very pleased with our new Wonder Windows. Gratefully, Lee & Marci Loomis 74 Copper Woods Pittsford, NY 14634 (585) 738-3079 (mobile & text)

I have not had a good experience with them at all. The installation was in May. Then there were problems and they came back. We placed the order in May, the installation started in June. It took 3 days. It was supposed to be 6 weeks from when you place the order, after the measurements are done until the installation and it was more like 8. The actual windows are good. The service is horrible. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone just because of the service, but I am happy with the quality of the window. I’m tempted to give them F. They were supposed to come out and quote us, on a Friday, in early May.  They could not give me a name or a phone number of the person who was coming out. I left work early, came home and we sat for 3 hours and nobody showed up. We couldn’t call anyone because it was a Friday and the company is closed on weekends. We got a call back from the sales manager himself, because I left a message, who apologized and said this isn’t the way they do business and that he would be more than happy to come out himself and work with us, to make up for the inconvenience. So, we figured we’d give them a second chance because someone else recommended them. He came out, he was great. Then we had the final measurements.  Then it took 8 weeks instead of 6 – which happens, I get it. Then they did the installation. It took over 3 days. There was a broken window, and there was a window that they ordered the wrong size. There was a window that they ordered the wrong screen. They damaged the woodwork in my house in 3 different rooms. The sales manager came out a just few weeks ago. They had to replace that screen, and also a window that was cracked.  Now I understand that sometimes in shipping it gets cracked. We had triple pane in one room, they put one of the triple paned windows in the wrong room, which we noticed, they didn’t. They have to come back and switch that.  The two-way windows, if you open the bottom, the top slides down, so they have to be balanced. This is all stuff that I feel they should have done upon installation. They shouldn’t keep coming back. Unfortunately, as nice as the sales manager is, the service is horrendous. When the sales manager came out, he apologized again. He said that you guys wer a high watch client, because of the mistake made in the very beginning. I just said if that is what you do for people you are watching out for, then what do you do for people you’re not? The price was comparable to the 2 other quotes that we had. Maybe a little bit less. It wasn’t that much better. I wish I would have went with one of the other companies, just spend another $1000 dollars just to not have all the headaches. The windows themselves are great windows. They are quiet. They operate easily when they are installed properly. They call and they say all the right stuff, but then they come and they do horrible work. They didn’t show up the first time, but after that they were on time. The sales manager is great, but he doesn’t do any of the work.
