These guys are nothing short of AMAZING!! My sewer backed up out of nowhere, in my new home I was only in for 4 weeks! I called Jack and they were there within the hour. They identified a broken pipe and went above and beyond to get it repaired and get me back in service. So professional So experienced So responsive So reasonably priced for the quality of service. I will be a customer for life. Thank you, Jack & team

  • Hahn's Septic Tank SVC
They deserver their solid ratings (came highly recommended from another company), and they did their job well. We tried them out and they were reasonably priced, responsive, and had no issues thus far. Would use them again.

  • Fonseca and Griffin Plumbing and Mechanical, LLC
Ryan met me and went through the issues I was having with sewer which had backed up. We located the septic clean out. I left and he worked hard for 2 hrs approx cleaning out the lines. There was an issue with the needle value for the fridge water line but Ryan came back a few days later and corrected the problem. Thanks guys

  • Hahn's Septic Tank SVC
All is well. The leach field was overwhelmed with heavy ground water saturation. When the majority of the "Sludge" was removed from the septic tank the leach field began to empty into the tank. A good sign because it meant the leach field was not clogged. That being said, once the operator realized the leach field was back-flowing, he stopped pumping. The Truck was not full at this point. I could tell because the glass bubbles/lens/eye on the back end of the tank showed it was only half full. I really wish they would have filled the whole tank to help relieve some of the leach field. But, the operator was keen on getting back on the road. All and all it went well and my septic is back up and running now. Myself, I would use them again, but definitely shop around. After talking to many people I discovered there are many other companies much closer to me that charge far less. Some even a third of what I was charged for the service. But, that's my own fault for not doing my homework first. They did a good job, showed up when they said they would, and rendered the services they said they would for the price they quoted

  • Hullar Enterprises
Arrived on time. Very effecient, experienced and effective, while pumping tank gave me excellent advice on related septic problem(sunken feeder line) needing attention. Hired Hullar to return and remedy the sunken feeder line to the tank. Both jobs completed in an excellent manner.

Mr. Northrup was tireless in finding, diagnosing and fixing the problem. Explained everything he was looking for and did. Educated us on the whole system and how it works.

  • Hullar Enterprises
I called Hullar and requested a septic tank pump out. The person took down my address and asked when I would want the service. I indicated as soon as they had an opening. She indicated they could do it the very next morning. Excellent! I took that appointment time. My boyfriend oversaw the actual pump out, but I was told it took less than 30 minutes and the employees provided information to him on the design and future recommendations for the pumping schedule. They also indicated that there was a pipe pitched back toward the house that should be fixed, but told him how he could repair this on his own, should he so wish to do so without paying someone. I am pleased with their service and would use them again

  • Hahn's Septic Tank SVC
Became apparent with second pumping in 4 weeks time that problem was more extensive, probably involving leech field too. I was told someone would be out to further assess situation but tried to contact company several times to no avail the following week when I hadn't heard from them. Later learned that my attempts were not given attention by the company because my phone has a blocked number. (Ooops--forgot about this but won't in the future!) Eventually talked to owner, John, who came out, looked things over, and scheduled a more extensive assessment in a few days when weather conditions hopefully improve

It could not have been any better. Dewey was able to come right over when I called. He did an excellent job. I wish every experience with a contractor was as satisfying!

Septic Tank Service FAQ

  1. What are the signs your septic tank is full?

Answer: There are several signs that indicate your septic tank could be full. These include standing water over your septic tank, a strong odor coming from your yard, gurgling water, slow drains, or a sewage backup. While many of these signs could also be indicative of a clogged system, they should all be checked out by a professional ASAP to avoid costly damages. In the absence of any of these signs, it’s recommended that septic tanks be emptied every 3 to 5 years on average.

  2. How often should a septic tank be serviced?

Answer: On average, septic tanks should be serviced every 3 to 5 years in the absence of any worrying signs that the tank is clogged or full. The size of your septic tank, the number of people living in your home, and your average water usage will all impact how often your septic tank needs to be serviced.

  3. What are the most common causes of septic tank failure?

Answer: The most common cause of septic tank failure is improper maintenance. Failing to pump a septic tank on the appropriate schedule will cause septic tank failure and likely result in a costly septic tank repair or replacement. On average, septic tanks should be pumped every 3 to 5 years, but the size of your tank, the number of people in your home, and your average water usage may shorten or extend this timeframe.

  4. How much does it cost to pump a septic tank?

Answer: The cost to pump a septic tank is $400 on average or about $0.30 per gallon. The size of your septic tank, as well as local labor costs, will impact the cost of pumping your septic tank. Most septic tanks are between 600 and 2,000 gallons in size, meaning the average cost range is between $180 to $600.

  5. How much does it cost to install a septic system?

Answer: The cost to install a septic tank system is between $3,060 and $9,810, on average. The size of the septic tank you choose, the land you’re installing it on, the type of system you choose, and local labor costs will all influence the total cost of installing a septic system. Anaerobic septic tanks (those that don’t need oxygen) typically cost between $3,000 and $8,000. Aerobic systems, which utilize oxygen to activate bacteria and are popular on smaller properties, usually cost between $10,000 and $20,000.

  6. How long does a septic system last?

Answer: When septic systems are well maintained, they can last up to 30 years or more. If a septic system isn’t properly maintained, such as when it isn’t pumped regularly, it may malfunction and require costly repairs or a premature replacement. In general, septic tank pumping is recommended every 3 to 5 years to ensure the septic system lasts as long as possible.
