Absolute Home Inspection

Tom's great. This is the second home he inspected for me. The first home - he found maybe 50K worth of work, probably more. Some of it was obvious, a lot of it was not. That's why you get Tom. The first home eventually sold to a friend of a friend. That person is now in renovation ****. The person apparently didn't realize the extent of work that was needed. Small things too like vents not matching up where they should, wiring that needs to be replaced, tiny spots of asbestos. The realtor for the project screamed at me (literally) that Tom wasn't any good. I guess not for her, I bagged on the deal and another sucker bought the house through another realtor. The new house inspection went smoothly. Found some rot, some problem areas for moisture and a bump in the roof. Nothing that's close to being a show stopper though. Walking on the inspection with Tom is like going to school. Just watch and listen. If I close on the house, I have my punch list ready to go for what's needed immediately and what's on the wish list. I'm sure lots of home inspectors are great. I really like Tom and will continue to use him.

This was my very first home inspection. Tom was very thorough and took the time to explain everything to me. He was professional, courteous and very respectful. Not only did he thoroughly inspect the house, but Tom also educated me on proper maintenance for the house to protect my investment. Susan, the secretary, was also very helpful and friendly. The whole experience was very enjoyable! I was very pleased with their service!

Great it was snowing so he couldn't complete and came back at a later date free of charge.

Inspection went well with many pictures and details in the report.  Was
great to hear of small things that we would need to address along with
any potential catastrophic issues (that were not identified).  First
time buying a home and couldn't have asked for a better handling of the
inspection.  And he is a Marine Corp Vet!

Tom was amazing! He was extremely helpful when explaining some of the issues and made suggestions about how to fix some of the problems in the home. In addition, he was able to give me some approximate costs to repair the problems. He was VERY thorough and I felt like he treated the inspection as he would an inspection he was doing for his own home. I was impressed. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a professional, dedicated inspector.

We found a handsome house in need of cosmetic repairs, made an offer, and at our realtor's recommendation, contacted Tom to do an inspection. He pointed out several problems (such as poor electrical work) that we'd missed in our excitement, and a couple more (including a sagging foundation) that we wouldn't have known to look for. We got a contractor and an estimate, and ended up withdrawing our offer on the house. Tom gave us the information we needed to save us from what could have been a very bad choice. So a month later when we found another house we liked, we took his lessons to heart and went over it carefully ourselves. THEN we called him in. We were very proud when he confirmed our impression that *this* house was in good shape. He was prompt, knowledgeable, and thorough, as well as personable and helpful. We went through both houses with him and he was happy to answer all our questions (and we had a lot); we feel that we learned a lot from him, and will be better homeowners for it. We could not have asked for a better inspection experience.

He has done a couple of home inspections for me and he is very good. He is very thorough and provides his report on a disc so that you can use it and refer back to it. It also has pictures and all his explanations of what he sees.

Great. The end report was thorough with pictures and details on all aspects of the house. He gave great details about the estimated life of the appliances, and even gave some advice on the roof (which we got repaired ASAP).
