He worked quickly and efficiently, I am very pleased with both the product and the installation, and plan on using j C Penney again for window treatments

- The FABRIC MILLThe Fabric Mill made custom roman blinds with fabric I brought in. The blinds turned out fine - a little cheap looking for the price. However, I was generally satisfied with the experience. I returned to the Fabric Mill several months later, again with my own fabric, to order another pair of roman blinds. Three employees were standing behind the desk, and there wasn't a single other customer in the store. I was told, very rudely, that they do not use customers' fabric and could not help me. When I explained that this was exactly what they had done for me in the past, the employee kept saying that they don't do this. She then suggested that the first project had been done as a favor and was an exception to their rules. At no time when I ordered the first set of blinds was I under the impression that they were doing me a favor. I had gone in to enquire about whether or not they could make up new blinds out of old blinds from my old house. They said, and quot;Sure, no problem.and quot; The second time around, they acted shocked that I would ask them to do this. I understand that stores like this make money on fabrics - that is why they will often charge a handling fee when a customer brings in his or her own fabric. But to flat out refuse to even discuss making something for me that they had already made in the past, and to act like I was insane to ask for it, was ridiculous. I had been planning to do a third project with them but will never give them my business again. They lost a potentially lucrative customer out of rudeness and unprofessionalism

"We just completed installing a motorized retractable awning from [*** Link removed ***] and are super pleased with the quality of the build, appearance and customer support.? This Italian-designed, engineered and manufactured awning is assembled and shipped from RetractableAwnings.com Florida plant, so if you need assistance with the install, you should contact a local handyman, carpenter or contractor.? Ours is a Palermo Plus, 16 ft. wide, with an 11 ft.-10 in. projection.? The Internet salesperson, Eric Scop, V.P., really worked with us to understand all the options and get fabric swatches.? We ultimately selected a combination Rain/Sun sensor and Vibration sensor to automatically retract the awning in case of heavy rain or excessive wind.? I spoke with Rocky, their installation expert, for advice on preparing the ledger board to attach the awning to our vinyl sided home, right below the soffit.? His advice was instrumental in making the install go so well.? Further, the awning arrived already programmed to the Soliris transmitter and the motor limit switches were also set.? It shipped in a fiberboard box (this one was about 17 ft long and 1 ft x 1 ft square, weighing over 200 lbs.), which was extremely tough.? The truck driver ignored the box orientation stickers and used a hand truck to move it from the center, rather than two hand trucks, one at each end, per the clear placarding on the box.? Despite this, it arrived in great shape, other than a couple minor paint scratches, which we will fix with touchup paint they are sending at no charge.? While the enclosed wall brackets were different from those described in the installation manual (an improved design), installing them was no problem. An extra bracket was included, which we also installed as this will be a large ?sail? on the side of the house and we want it to stay there. "What a pleasure it was to work with the staff at Tile & Carpet Town Carpet One in Cicero, NY. From the moment we walked into the store and began working with Melynda, we knew we were in good hands. Melynda was willing to take the time to understand our wants and needs as we looked for replacement carpeting in our Bedrooms and Family Room, as well as replacement flooring for our Kitchen. The next step was having Don come out for measurements. He was right on time, and took his time to get it right. He answered all our questions and gave us some clear direction for next steps. Once he finished the measurements, we went back to see Melynda who took a lot of time to go over everything in great detail. By the end of that night, we made our purchase without once feeling any pressure. Next was installation. First Brian came out to install our Kitchen tile. What a hard worker! I’ve yet to find a line in our tiles that isn’t exactly straight!!! Then came the carpets. Tim and Jay were on time, professional, and did outstanding work. We have a seam in our family room berber carpet that we still can’t see no matter how hard we try. All three installers had just the right amount of personality and explained everything they were doing as they went along. We’ve dealt with a lot of retail/service professionals through our lives, but both my wife and I can say that this has been one of the most pleasurable experiences we’ve ever had. "The front of the house needed small gutters installed on a A Frame projection over the front porch. They weren't installed. The back gutters had a noticeable bend in them. I callled to inform them seveval weeks ago to inform them of my concerns. They did send someone out to look at them and indicated they would install the small front gutters but he didn't look at the back gutters. I asked him to look at the back gutters again, the did not look properlt installed to me. Nothing has been done and it has been a couple of weeks.
