"Charles and Jaz were able to come to our house the same day we called for service. As new homeowners we were clueless as to why our HVAC heat pump was blowing cold air after being switched to the heat setting. Almost immediately Charles and Jaz were able to find the issue (faulty wiring from the previous owner's DIY handyman work...) and fix it. Along the way they explained everything including how our new home's system worked. Now we have heat for the winter and know a reliable, prompt HVAC company to call again next time we need service. Thank you!"

"These guys are amazing. They not only cleaned and solved the issues I was having with my duct system but also further recommended simple and easy things to help improve the overall feel of my air flow system. Extremely thorough in their process, and my quality of life has improved so much within my own home. I’m upset at myself for not having the ducts professionally cleaned sooner. Would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone who owns a home."

"Great experience with this company! They did an excellent job cleaning our air ducts and vents. The team was professional, friendly, and very thorough. They explained everything clearly, worked efficiently, and left everything clean when they were finished. I could definitely notice a difference in the air quality afterward. Very happy with the service and would highly recommend them to anyone needing air duct, vent, or restoration services!"

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

No, heat pump maintenance needs are very similar to air conditioners, including keeping outdoor units clean, changing filters regularly, and occasionally scheduling a refrigerant check to see if any has leaked out. Heat pumps typically switch automatically between heating and cooling, so you don’t need to worry about manually changing them every season. However, since they are always on call, they can develop wear and tear faster than an air conditioner.

To reset your air conditioner, start by turning it off at the thermostat. Then, shut off power to the AC system at the circuit breaker. Some units have a dedicated "reset" button; if yours does, press and hold it for three to five seconds. If your air conditioner doesn't have a reset button, or if you are resetting it after a power outage, leave the circuit breaker off for at least 30 minutes to allow the system to reset itself. Afterward, turn the power back on at the breaker, turn on the AC from the thermostat, and set it to "cool" to test the system.

Most experts recommend getting three to five HVAC quotes from licensed, insured, reputable local heating and cooling companies. Getting multiple detailed HVAC quotes (but not too many) lets you compare the equipment, services, and prices of several contractors without being overwhelmed by options. It can also let you see if one contractor’s prices are much higher or lower than the others and give you a chance to ask for clarification. That way, you can weed out any contractors who aren’t providing quality services or materials and find the company that best meets your budget, quality requirements, and long-term goals.

While "dry" mode on your AC can help reduce humidity levels to some extent, it may not be as effective as a dedicated dehumidifier, especially in areas with extremely high humidity or larger spaces. Dehumidifiers are specifically designed to remove moisture from the air more efficiently, making them a better choice for tackling persistent humidity issues.

The right type of HVAC system will depend on several factors, including your climate, budget, preferences, and existing HVAC setup. For example, if you live in an area that experiences extreme weather, then a split system would likely be the best option. Or, if budget is a concern, consider installing a ductless system in just one room.
