"I used Artistic Iron Las Vegas to build a security gate for my business. They took too long to build my gate so I called them in an attempt to cancel. However, they strong-armed me into paying them thousands of dollars for work that I no longer needed due to them taking so long. I even told them that they can keep the 50% deposit and that they would not have to deliver on the remainder of the contract. They turned down my offer and said that the contract must be fulfilled or that I would still be responsible for the remainder. If I were you I would steer clear or tread carefully if you're considering hiring Artistic Ironworks. Threatening to sue customers like this is the ultimate form of pettiness. EDIT: Oh I forgot to mention that I got robbed AGAIN before this company could get my gate up. What a great feeling... getting robbed, calling this company to put gates up, getting robbed again... trying to cancel because they took to long, then figuratively getting robbed by the company that was supposed to stop me from getting robbed. Give me a break Artistic Iron Works Las Vegas!"

Full service renovation, repair and maintenance company. We are a licensed General Contractor (Nevada B-2 Lic# 71558) with a $1.9 million bid limit. In business since 2004, licensed GC since August 2008. We have over 50 employees, and we use subcontractors where appropriate. Additional contact: Kathy House. Additional e-mail: [email protected].
"Horrible is not a bad enough word for this company! Don't EVER use them. Today is 13 months since the dryer fire took place. The downstairs condo is livable but still has many things they need to come back and fix and it's been 3 months since they've shown up. The upstairs unit is still not livable. The workmanship is EXTREMEY poor, from the paint to the grout, to the cabinet installation, granite installation, etc. They have cut corners, not installed new items per the insurance contract, etc. Their workers don't appear to have any experience at all. We were stuck with them because the HOA/Property Management company hired them. This job was only to redo the inside of two condos from the sheet rock in. It should have been a 4-month job, and it has been 12 months since they signed the contract. STEER"

"The worst! I had Sondra out to get designs for a pool gate almost 4 months before I needed the gate. It wasn't for 2.5 months after a number of calls and text I get a super basic design from her and it was nothing that we had discussed. Maybe because it was so long for her to get a design she had forgotten everything. When I my pool company calls her to tell her we need the gate install, she hadn't started it and was in Japan and didn't care. They had to install a temp gate for the inspection because she had dropped the ball. They finally install the gate when I am out of town. The gate wasn't right. The lock was in the wrong spot, the backing was missing screws. Oh and the design wasn't even right. The best part. She then sends me an invoice for $1,500 when I am on vacation. She never picks up the phone to tell me the cost before the install, never a text message from her about the cost. She just installs it and sends the invoice. She claims she told me months ago, but as you can see from the attached, nothing was signed off. After the first visit, Sondra's communication is the worst. If she wasn't recommended by the pool company, I would have never used TIG Works. The quality of work is trash, her delivery is trash, the experience is trash. The only nice part about the situation was I was holding the money for 3 months till I figured out what I wanted to do with the gate and she with her same communication would only text me every 2 months about it. Do yourself a favor and find someone else for your project because the experience is not worth it with these people."

Yes, you should confirm that the fencing installer you hire is insured before proceeding with the job. In most cases they do not need a specific fencing license, but rather a general contractor’s license. Hiring a licensed contractor protects you as a homeowner from fraud, poor work, and potential legal woes.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
Licensing and certification are not necessary.
The average cost to install a fence is between $1,760 and $4,500. These costs are what an average homeowner spends, but you might spend more or less depending on several factors. For a smaller DIY project, you might get away with spending as little as $430, or for a much larger project (like fencing for a 5-acre yard), you can spend in excess of $43,000.
Besides the size of your yard, other factors like your fence material, fence height, site prep, and additional fence features like gates all impact the overall cost. Additionally, the high cost of raw materials and manufacturing can all make the overall price tag higher.
The overall cost of a fence project depends on numerous factors, including the size of your yard, fence material, fence height, site preparation, and additional features like gates.
Before you hire a fence installer to build you the fence of your dreams for your yard, it’s important to set expectations up front by asking questions. Some questions to consider include:
Do you offer a warranty?
Do you offer financing or a payment plan?
Do you have references?
Do you have photos of previous work?
What type of fencing materials do you work with?
Do you have references?
Are all fasteners exterior (galvanized)?
How deep are you concreting the post?
What is the lowest maintenance fencing?
How will you deal with slopes?
Only some fences require a permit to build. Factors like where you live, how tall your fence will be, and where in your yard you plan to build all impact the need to have a permit. Below are a few examples of when a permit is needed; it’s always best to check with your fence installer to confirm if a permit is required.
Generally, if you live somewhere rural, like on a farm, there’s a good chance you will not need a fence permit. However, you will most likely need a permit if you live in a highly populated area. In addition, many privacy fences in your backyard won’t need a permit if it is 6 feet or shorter. However, you might need a permit for anything over 3.5 feet in your front yard.
Any solid panels over 8 feet in height will require a permit, while a 2-foot lattice top on a 6-foot fence does not require a permit.
Fence installers typically charge by the hour when working on a project. Typically, you can expect to pay around $50 per hour for fence installation. Your project might take anywhere from 24 to 72 hours, depending on the length of your fence, overall project complexity, and fence type.
